Yeah... I think a lot has to do with how people choose to educate their children or not. If you teach your child that they're constantly going to be looked down on no matter what because of their skin color that's probably not exactly going to pave the path to a bright future. If you teach your child to fear police and to disrespect police or other people for their skin color what makes you think they're gonna have a good time..?

Anyone who accepts racism only when it's applied to white people because "muh institutional racism" needs to point out actual proof of it. And even then, bigotry is never excusable in a moral society.

I don't know of anyone who is accepting racism only when it's directed at white people. I don't think it's right to say that racism doesn't exist. I'm merely pointing out that racism exists toward all races.

Yeah its wrong to be shitty to white people just because they're white but as a white person I don't feel offended by PoC voicing frustration at white people in general because the structure of our society is *built* to benefit white people and exclude others and people are more than justified being angry about power structures that mean they'll never be considered as good as white people

It's funny because I come from a very backwards place but spend half my day on tumblr so like half my life is white people and men hating on black people and women respectively and the other is the exact opposite and I am beyond tired of both.And both will argue that the other kind of people r the absolute worst while being just a color switched version of them.But I think for a while I was falling into the trap of agreeing with the tumblr side and this blog helped save me from that so thank ya.

I grew up listening to my (black) grandmother tell my (black) cousins and I how white people are inherently racist/prejudice and snobby.... like even at 10 years old i thought that was bullshit. My white family never talked that way about black people. Ever. But whatever! People of all backgrounds can be shitty.
