•。 ☁ Kurt clicked his tongue in the midst of the daunting silence, reaching for his charging cell phone on the bedside table adjacent to him. He blinked once or two to adjust to the newfound light, typing in rapidly the name of a joint within the vicinity of the campus whose sole intention was to appeal to the insatiable appetite of insomniac teens who want something sweet on their tongues. Scrolling through their various options, he previously believed that he had been the only one whose eyes could not remain closed and guide him into a peaceful sleep -- turning his head, he noticed movement inside of bedsheets on the other side of the room where one of his roommates slept. Momentarily, he had forgotten who exactly claimed ownership to that bunk until a wispy piece of blond hair emerged that undeniably belonged to Gill; after all, he was the only blond in this room.
Part of him wished to ignore his existence and return to ordering the cookies; alas, now that he knew that he was not the only one awake, he exhaled a disgruntled sigh and sat up on his mattress. “Pst.” He hissed out, hoping to capture his attention following one effortless attempt. “Gill. Why are you still awake? Go to sleep.”

•。 ☁ Baseball practice was around the corner, and once again, Kurt had conveniently forgotten to wear his gear that was required by all the players involved. The coach, bless his heart, had always given him the benefit of the doubt and let him off easy instead of suspending him since -- in all reality -- he was a valuable participant in the game when he actually set forth his mind to it. Therefore, as always it seemed like at this point, the young boy kicked back in on the bleachers and unwinded his heap of earbud cords to slip into the ear. He listened to his music contentedly, propping his feet up on the level below him as he watched the gigantic mouth of his coach move rapidly -- shouting out commands and spitting out potential strategies, most likely. What was the big deal? It was just a game, after all. Hell, this was merely practice.
His chocolate brown eyes had flickered from the ongoing game towards the empty space of field beside them -- shifting from the grass rustling in the breeze to the forestry that was situated nearby the field, holding contact with a group of vivacious butterflies dancing with one another. He laughed, cracking half a smile until the rumbling of someone sitting below him stirred his attention. Much to his surprise, it was his older brother of one year who was not out there. Interesting. “... three strikes, and you’re out?” Kurt asked with a hint of sarcasm lacing his curious inflection, wondering what had happened when his focus had been elsewhere.

4-pete-sake:
When Pete needed to think sometimes, he waited til the night was dead as a doughnut to go strolling on out of his dorm. Not ever really worrying about the school’s mediocre security, he goes to a similar spot each time… similar because as he knows the general area, his eyesight is for lack of a better term, a little shit.. at least mostly at night time. He makes his way to his spot when he walks up on someone there. “That’s odd…” Apparently this caught the kid’s attention, “Ahh- uhh I just thought I was the only person who came here this late.” he scratches the back of his head. “… I guess not.” He lies down on the grass about 6 feet away from him and closes his eyes. “Hope I’m not intruding-” He honestly didn’t care, but this area had the softest grass, it was crazy to even think about ditching the spot. He pulls his hat over his face, trying to relax by listening to the area around him, the nature at night.
•。 ☁ Kurt huffed indignantly, rolling eyes towards the unwarranted company barging into his space; although, he knew well that the entirety of the grounds on campus was free game, and the stranger was courteous enough to situate himself far away from him. Not to mention, the other boy could have been an imposition and push him away to lounge elsewhere; alas, he did not. Therefore, the brunet decided that the best option was to concede and allow him to live without grief, minding his own business; besides, he would easily forget his presence once his earbuds were back in his ears and the music captivated his thoughts. He paused, however, after the other sprawled out on the grass to piece together a cordial response -- if one was even needed. “It’s fine.” He said, returning his focus to the stars in the night sky that never ceased their twinkling.
His attempts to ignore his existence proved futile, for the feeling of isolation was absent because of him. Maybe, though, it wouldn’t exactly hurt to have someone here with him. Kurt nibbled on his lower lip, his gazing of the sky transfixing to that of the mysterious figure within a couple feet of him. “... This is a peaceful spot, isn’t it?” He regretfully spoke up. “Can’t find anywhere like it on campus.”

•。 ☁ Granted the rules clearly indicated that earbuds were forbidden from wearing in the hallways for one reason or the other, likely to do with respect or in the case scenario of an emergency, Kurt disregarded it completely. Part of him questioned why he even waited in assurance that no wandering eyes happened to stop on him; for the most part, he was a ghost that oftentimes went unnoticed because of his attempts to stay under the radar -- and that, at least, was an accomplishment he can be prideful of. With his music, he felt capable of effortlessly passing through the occasional crowds of students instead of lingering closer to the walls -- after spending some time at this academy, he soon learned that that was not the most efficient method of transporting himself around campus. Today had been another ordinary day of little to no interaction with his peers and teachers alike; however, one thing led to another, and the young boy clumsily collided with another student around the corner.
“Hey, wat--” He held back his tongue upon bearing witness to whom he stumbled into. Kurt bit his lower lip, partially relieved to see that not many were present to watch his lapse of judgment unfold into a girl -- whose frame was wispy and delicate like a daisy -- sitting on the ground in a mess of papers and books. He quietly sighed underneath his breath, kneeling down to recollect her various items that were otherwise scattered around them. “... Sorry,” the brunet muttered.

•。 ☁ Tossing and turning restlessly in his twin bed, he heaved a sigh of defeat and faced out the window just on the opposite side of him. His sleepy, chocolate brown eyes blinked as they scanned the starry night sky for the moon; though, that much was a challenge given how distracting the twinkling lights are that sprinkled the sky like a cake. With no luck on either end of finding the moon or falling into a deep slumber, he pushed off his sheets and quickly dressed in gym shorts and a light hoodie -- tiptoeing out the door, as quiet as a mouse, into the dead of night. He had snuck out of his dormitory many times since arriving at the academy, for the security and enforcement of curfew in itself were jokes. Of everything he could possibly do, he of all the students was the least of the school’s worries regarding teenaged rebels. He walked towards the same hill within the vicinity of the building that he always turned to when seeking seclusion from the bustling nature of the campus. Besides, here he lied and could have a brilliant view of the vast blackness so close yet so far above him.
Heh. He scoffed, recalling the wise words of someone he admired about how no matter where you were -- you are gazing at the same moon as someone else, perhaps one you missed or just anyone for that matter. You were never alone. Kurt solemnly shook his head, resorting to the peaceful music in his earbuds until the rustling of grass -- presumably from footsteps -- honestly startled him. Pulling them out of his ears, he turned his head to the source of that sound -- it being another person whose eyes he could feel directed at him. “... What?” He finally spoke up. “Need something?”
