Tender Moment II Open

A letter. The first one Emiko had received from her family in awhile, she had wasted no time in waiting to read it since it got to her dorm. 

To our dearest Emiko:

The shrine is lonely without you, and the waterfall looks lovely this time of year. We hope you are surrounded by beautiful things as well, how are your classes? Are you making friends? Do you have anyone special in your life? We plan to send a care package soon--I know the materials you left with were a bit lacking in quantity, and we’ve been setting aside funds to provide you with what you need in your educational life. Your mother was going to add her own wishes, but she’s been in a bit of a slump lately, you know how it gets. But never doubt for a second that we all wish for your health and safety. Keep shining, our little angel.

Having not heard from her family in awhile, Emiko was hit with a wave of nostalgia and loneliness. Her family, thinking of her when she was so far away, focusing on other things--

Hot or Not || Open

Illuminata wasn’t really a good person. At least, that’s what she gathered people thought about her, given their responses to her shenanigans. With reactions ranging from mild confusion to sheer rage though, perhaps her pool of data was a bit skewed because of the types of people she worked with. And sure, there were a certain few who gave her the right kinds of reactions, the positive kind, but they felt so few and far between~! But that was fine.

The negative reactions fueled her needs just as well!

“Let’s see, let’s see~!” She hummed quietly to herself, tapping a pen to her lips as she sat in the Teacher’s Lounge during one of her free periods. In front of here sat a paper, filled with what looked like gibberish, although in reality it’s true words were just hidden with a cipher.

“Would you say the Science Teacher is hot, or nah?” She asked almost offhandedly, glancing over at another in the room. The only give away that it wasn’t a random thought was the mischievous glint in her eyes. She was being purposefully vague, of course.

Bothersome “Buddy” || OPEN

Vaughn wasn’t much of a talker. Or rather, he didn’t see the point to making small talk and going on about nothing with the classmates. The only one’s he’ll do as much for are Julia and likely her cousin, and that’s only because he is used to having them around. Used to how they talked and acted. Used to what their particular mannerisms tended to mean.

Suffice to say, Vaughn was not used to his new “Buddy”.

It wasn’t like this was something he was forced into, it was all just a chance encounter. Vaughn was just studying in the library and they just.... walked up and sat at his table. And it wasn’t like there was nowhere else to sit, he could easily spot a couple tables that were completely void. So why did they decide to join him at this one? Why would they choose to sit near him, when there’s so many more options. (Options which meant he wouldn’t have to deal with them or worry about using too much of the table for his own work.)

He knew he’d have to ask, if he wanted to find out.

“...Ya need something?”

Boom, Headshot || Open

      【❧】~ Rosetta was at her best when her mind was busy, running so fast that it didn’t have time to sit and be idle, to dwell on things best left alone. Her feet moves as fast her thoughts as she runs across the empty soccer field, ball being dribbled between her feet as she heads straight for the goal. 

       A little bob and weave here, a feint there, speed up, slow down-- though she had no opponent, many scenarios and strategies ran through her mind as she moved, Rosetta dead serious about honing her skills for the upcoming match.

       Once she’s within kicking distance of the goal, she digs her left heel into the ground, bringing her right leg forward in a kick that held as much strength as she could muster behind it. The sound of her foot hitting the ball is music to her ears, and Rosetta watches as it flies up into the air...

       ...and right past the goal.

       “....!?”

       Right past the goal, and straight into the face of the unlucky sap that just so happened to be passing by in that moment. And... and holy crap, did it hit them so hard their head just recoil---

       “S-Sorryyyy...!” She yells, rushing over to help the person.

⌜ *ﾟ:*:✼✿ – Never one to waste food, Laney made sure the leftovers from the cafe will be fully utilized. There’s still an abundance of cheese and bread, so Laney prepared all of what’s left to make as much grilled cheese sandwiches that she can. She wraps them all up with a paper towel and starts her mission to give them out to the students she sees. ⌟

⌜ *ﾟ:*:✼✿ – Once she’s down to her last three sandwiches, Laney figures she should keep one for herself, one for her roommate, and one more for a student. She searches around for any more passerbys in the school, and once she spots one, she waves to them with a smile and offered: “ Hi there! Would you like one? It’s a grilled cheese sandwich! ” ⌟

Hop, Step, Bunny Drop || Open

Honestly, Michelle wasn’t too much of an animal person. Most of them just kind of seemed... Like too much work. And were smelly.

But. Her bunnies were her one true exception to the rule -- she treated them like she could only assume some people treated cats, letting them roam the apartment freely. They were box-trained, so it wasn’t an issue. And they were adorable, and kind of afraid of the front door, so them running out wasn’t an issue either.

She just... Never thought one of them would be smart enough to climb into her bag before she left for work.

She doesn’t even notice until she’s setting up in the classroom and spots a familiar brown-and-white animal sniffing around near the doorway. Michelle’s eyes almost bulge out of her head -- but before she has time to even internally question whowhatwhenwherewhy, her precious bunny lifts it’s head up, makes direct eye contact with her, and then bolts out the door.

Michelle is hot on it’s heels, leaving her chair so quickly it spins as she follows the animal. Unfortunately, her eyes are so focused on the ground she manages to smack right into somebody, her rabbit making a mad dash around a corner in the confusion. She watches it disappear in exasperation, letting out a huge storm of curses as her cutesy persona drops, just for a second.

She suddenly remembers there’s another person here and quickly straightens up, but it’s too little too late. Oh well, she had a bigger problem right now in the form of a very small loose rabbit anyway.

“... You didn’t happen to see what just ran past you, did you?” who knows how much trouble she could get into if administration thought she was smuggling rabbits into school.

Anonymous Prank #1 || Open to Multiple

After taking some much needed time to cool off from her earlier meltdown, she whipped out her phone and popped open her photo gallery to look at some pictures of cute animals in hopes of improving her mood. Pictures of precious kittens sticking out their tongues always worked. Another sigh escaped her lips as she kept swiping left with her thumb to look through as many of those saved pictures as possible. Julia was still leaning back against the tree, but she seemed to be more relaxed by the way her legs were stretched out and her facial expression wasn’t twisted up in emotional pain any longer. 

Suddenly, she sat straight up and stopped swiping through the pictures after coming across something she had taken a picture of a while back. The picture in question was a list of phone numbers from the Cooking Club. Back when she officially joined the club, she was too lazy to write their phone numbers down on her own, so she figured it would be best to take a picture just in case she ever had to contact any of them. What are the odds that all of the other members would have added her number to their own contact lists? This could be her chance to pull a small prank on someone, so she might as well try and find out if any of them have actually added her phone number.

But first, she’ll start out with something vague just so she doesn’t get burned. All she planned to do was send the same messages to a couple of the unfamiliar numbers without reading their names-- going in blind is more thrilling! -- to see how they might react before she goes into overdrive.

This is just the distraction she needed, she thought to herself as the corner of her lips curved into a smirk that was reminiscent of a certain purple cat of mischievous nature.

Once the text messages were sent out, Julia leaned back against the tree again and pulled out her headphones to plug them into her phone before pulling up a song by Demi Lovato. “What's wrong with being confident?♪♫” was playing in the background as she waited for someone to respond to her prank messages.

[Apples are red]

Ah, Autumn. It was Komari’s favorite season of the year. Not because every person’s favorite drink was pumpkin spice, or the fun, whimsical decorations of Halloween- which was very fun within itself-- but it was more so the fact that everything was turning into her favorite colors. All these red and yellow hues, in betwixt and in between of varied shades- were adoring the very trees she passed each day to class, their leaves making crunching noises on her feet. The scenery made it so easy to get lost with them. It kind of reminded her of home. Komari pondered and lulled on the thought of her hometown, Tsuyukusa. Was her father taking care of himself? Were her friends okay? Did her mother even bother to check on her dad? She could only hope for the best while being ever so far away, it was no use to her to over stress on it and waste too much energy in these thoughts. So she started to hum on the cobblestone paths, with a little hop and a skip with her hands behind her back. It was a way to keep her entertained. Unfortunately, the girl did not pay enough attention to her steps, ( She was never much of a dancer. ) and ended up falling face flat to the ground.

“K-Kuso!” She exclaimed, not really thinking on how unladylike her choice of words sounded. The rocks were thankfully not as sharp though she was sure she had a few cuts and bruises on her knees and chin. At least the autumn air smelled fantastic from down here.
