Before: with 4 baby teeth, an impacted adult canine, and all four wisdom teeth.
During: after having all 4 baby teeth and the impacted canine removed on the day I had my attachments put on.
After: the final result after 30 sets of treatment trays at 31 total weeks of wear.
And here’s the final result !
Obviously I still need an implant or a bridge, and that will be decided after the 6-week period of constant retainer wear is over.
These are not the best pictures, as I took them quickly while rushing to clean the room I had just used, but we decided to scan for my retainers!
My teeth felt much better with no attachments on and the doc helped me even out my new bite by making some slight adjustments with a handpiece.
Tray 30 update on 3/11/2020
(One week and 2 days into treatment)
Today I have an appointment to 1. see if I need refinement (fairly certain I do), 2. scan and take off attachments, 3. if no need for refinement, order a retainer.
I believe I need refinements because of three (noticable) things:
1. My right canine (#6) is still sitting a bit lingually on the mesial side (it seems tucked behind #7 a bit?), 2. The right lateral (#26) sits a bit behind the rest of my teeth. Granted, these two teeth had the MOST movement so I expected this to be an issue. 3. My two jaws do not comfortably come together when my trays are out. They feel strained when I try to touch my molars together. I’m not sure of this is because I am so used to the comfort of the trays and the bite ramps or not, so I’m trying to do jaw exercises to get used to bringing them together all the way.
Still need a couple fillings and a whitening but they made need to wait until the next round is over. On the bright side, I’ll have extra time to save up money for my implant or bridge in the meantime.
I’m going to update later on how today’s appointment goes!

Tray 25 update.
Still can’t close my teeth all the way and my front teeth are still uneven.
Both of my doctors were concerned at my attachment/clincheck appointment that my teeth aren’t matching up correctly to my clincheck (which I’ve noticed). The clincheck shows my canine almost completely in place but in reality, I’m still in a crossbite and the upper canine still sits behind my lower canine 😓 On the brightside, the doctor that mostly does all the other Invisalign cases says that my teeth are tracking fine because my trays are fitting perfectly every time and the tooth is still moving. The clincheck is just a simulation and it could be off. If my tooth doesn’t move completely into place during the last four trays I’ll need a refinement phase but I’m not against it.
For tray 25, I’m having one last attachment put on the lingual side of my right canine and it’ll stay there for the remaining 5 active trays.
Tray 24.
My teeth look super crooked because that right canine is sitting in a weird spot that won’t let me align my teeth up properly when I bite or smile so my teeth look worse than they are. My top front two teeth are still pretty uneven and I’m still wondering if it’ll even out or if I’ll need refinement or if I’ll actually even care much when it’s all over. I also noticed that my left premolar is not touching my bottom teeth at all in this picture (or when I bite down) like it looks like it’s supposed to in the clincheck pic, but I can’t tell if it’s not tracking correctly or if it’s because I can’t close down all the way because of the canine? Time will tell, I guess.
I also have plans to have a couple of cavities filled before I have my retainer scan. And I’m still hoping for an implant soon!

My two front teeth are still pretty uneven which is still odd to me, but I’m still holding out hope they’ll level out in these last 6 trays.
Tray 22. This is the most I can close my teeth together. It makes chewing pretty interesting.

Tray 21. Progress pictures are weird.
My teeth look totally skewed. I have two big spaces on the sides of my lower left lateral and I’m hoping they fill in because they’re obvious black spaces that make it took like I have poppy seeds in my teeth 😓 I also have some sort of irritation in my gums above my left front tooth and I hope it’s nothing serious, but wearing my trays definitely bothers it more. Leaving them out a little extra and hoping it goes away.
My first picture that I took in trays #1 (on the left) and today, in trays #21 (on the right). What a crazy difference. I’ve already noticed that I don’t cover my face when I smile in front of people now. Still not confident enough to take pictures, but my biggest concern is the shade difference in my fake tooth with all my real teeth. Just a few more weeks and then hopefully it’s implant time 🙌🏻

I’ve also noticed that my midline, which had originally shifted to being nearly perfect, has now shifted again so that my left front tooth looks slightly longer than my right. I’ve also noticed that I only touch on the bite ramp on the back of my right front tooth and juust below the bite ramp on my left front tooth. I’m hoping that it shifts back soon.
