I will forever hold dear to my heart the day I saw Prince perform Purple Rain in the actual pouring rain with purple lights turning the whole evening that shade he liked so much and used in so much of his art it was such a unique thing to have experienced and I'm so grateful. Every time I had the chance to see him perform it just drove me wild, he was such an all-round artist and performer, I could never contain my happinness. For months on end I would listen to his songs in preparation. It was almost sacred the whole experience. I've grown up with his music and a father who is one of his biggest fans, I feel like I got injected with the same admiration as he has for him. For me Prince is the epitome of a star. I have never seen someone else manage to bring that much joy and passion and variation into every single performance. No one ever saw the same Prince show twice. Frankly no one matches up. I am so sad we have lost him :( I genuinely thought I had many more years of seeing him live and him making new music. I can't think about it too much or my mind starts spinning and that is ridiculous to feel for someone you have never met. But I guess that shows how much you can appreciate an artist and everything he stands for. Prince you were one of a kind, you will always be in my hair!!
