Hey guys, I would just like to get something out of the way before I say anything else. I have no idea how Taylor FaceTimed me. It was a total surprise so me and I wouldn’t have wanted it in any other way. Also no, I DO NOT have her number so please do not ask me for it because I have nothing to give you! Please respect Taylor’s privacy as a true fan would!!!! I am also not going to disclose the full conversation because Taylor does not have enough privacy in her life as it is so I want her to be able to talk to fans and be able to trust them.

So here it goes….

I was sleeping in because I was up till 3 am studying for an exam. It was around 10 am when I got a FaceTime from I don’t know who at that point in time. My roommate shook me awake and told me that someone is trying to call me. So I decided to open the FaceTime, half naked with my unclothed body and FUCKING BAM!!! The goddess of the universe chart slaying - record making - grammy winning queen of music was on the screen of my phone. She was so casual and was just like “Oh my gosh you were sleeping weren’t you?” and I guess she wanted to call back when I was awake but in my mind i was so fucking happy that I forgot my unclothed body was staring at her. Honestly Taylor I am SOOOOO Sorry you had to see that like I am disgusted with myself I am so sorry!

Anyways… we talked for a while and it was a great conversation about her and her music. She was also getting for Brittany’s wedding and she was so excited for it! She was with her parents and I said hi to them. She was very lovely and it was like I was having a conversation with my best friend after not seeing her for 10 years. She asked me about Huskython and told me she wanted to donate so she came up with the perfect amount $1989 because she knew I loved the album so much. I promised her that we would make ‘New Romantics’ the song of the summer and that it was going to be everywhere! 

Finally, I thanked her for her time and I told her that no matter what happens, I will always be behind her. I really needed her to know that I truly do value her as a friend and would love to be close with her because she means so much to me. Besides that I really don’t have much to tell than that she was overall lovely and amazing. I really hope more of you get the chance to talk to her or meet her because she is just amazing and waiting 10 years for this was 100% worth it.

Looking back on the highlights of my life, there’s a moment I’ll never forget from a day in London about two years ago. I was in town to play the O2 and I was out shopping on my day off. My friend Ed Sheeran met up with me in this little shop where I was buying ballet shoes. He walks in and says “you have to hear this new song. I think it’s the best one I’ve ever written.” And then, as usual, he pulls out his phone and gives me headphones. I sat there on a bench in that store and heard ‘Thinking Out Loud’ for the first time, as little kids were picking out tutus and leotards next to us. Little did we know it would go on to be first dance song at countless weddings all over the world, become Ed’s biggest hit, and eventually go on to win him Song of the Year at the 2016 Grammys. Ed and I had been on tour together all year on the Red Tour and we saw each other almost every day. I lived for the moments he would burst into my dressing room with a new song to play me. It happened so often that it became normal, and I don’t think he ever knew how much it meant to me that he wanted me to hear his songs first. I don’t think he ever knew how inspired I was by his drive and passion to constantly create new art. But it’s his 25th birthday today, so I’m saying it now. You deserve everything you have, and everything you will continue to achieve, Ed.
