#continue to be so intrigued by her (as i read it) ambivalence toward feminism/feminist translation #again had a whole digression on her style/approach to the odyssey in my Unpublished Anne Carson Monograph bc she wrote a review of carson’s #sappho (if i recall correctly)#i do think you can describe many of her translational choices as feminist but also they are incredibly difficiult to disentangle from the Fi #rst Woman Translator Into English hooplah #i will be seated if she publishes another version of the odyssey though. insane in a way i can appreciate deeply
