When a relationship ends, it sort of makes sense. People fall out of love with another, situations change, and there’s nothing you can really do about it. Your lovers come in to your life at a certain time and you give what the other one needs. Sometimes they’ll want what you’re giving them forever and sometimes they won’t. Even though breakups are terrible and earth shattering, they almost feel a little less personal than the end of a close friendship. I mean, there are countless movies, TV shows and books about this, remember? They’re a fact of life. It’s not you, I swear, it’s just how the cookie crumbles sometimes. But the end of a friendship is all about you. It’s nothing but you. It’s almost like a personal attack on your character. Someone who once thought of you as a beautiful soul now sees some ugly in you. They wanted to talk to you everyday and now they’re willfully distancing themselves. Meanwhile, you’re left thinking, “What did I do wrong? Where’s my partner in crime? Why don’t you want to be a part of my life anymore? I planned on you having e a major role and now you’re reducing yourself to a cameo.”

Mostly it is loss which teaches us about the worth of things.

My heart has always beat thunderstorms instead of blood.

I’ll always encourage the reckless texts confessing your feelings. The kind where you throw your phone after hitting send. I’ll always encourage the horribly straightforward conversations at 3am when conversations get deep and you can’t always put how you feel into words. I’ll always encourage you to say the things that make your heart beat fast and your legs shake. Because i know how alive you feel when you feel something for someone else.

There are a few things in life so beautiful they hurt: swimming in the ocean while it rains, reading alone in empty libraries, the sea of stars that appear when you’re miles away from the neon lights of the city, bars after 2am, walking in the wilderness, all the phases of the moon, the things we do not know about the universe, and you.
Beau Taplin, And You (via wordsnquotes)
Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts. Don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Some time ago You and I were something Time passed you moved away And still we kept being something I in a city and you in another Far away but we yearned for each other Now I’m here But we’ve grown to become strangers You don’t know me And neither do I No more ,we are just; Strangers in the same place of the same city.

Concept: you’ve been married to your wife for 3 years. You wake up in your bed before she does, your nose cold but your body warm. Careful not to wake her, you get out of bed and your toes curl when your feet hit the cold floor. You brew a pot of coffee and take a cup, making sure to leave enough for her. You pull on a big sweater and walk out onto your deck, sitting in a big wood chair to look out over the forest. The leaves are orange and edged with frost. All is quiet as the sun rises over the trees. You hear the door opening behind you and your wife sits down next to you, wrapping the comforter from your bed around both of you shoulders. You sit there like that until the sun is well up and your coffee cups are empty.
