October, October, October..

It just makes so much sense for Apple, it would be odd not to see the iPhone 5 release in October. Apple is not short of amazing products, and there bank account just keeps on growing with the current products. Mostly talking about the iPhone 4S which has set multiple sales records including fastest selling device and most sold device. In the first 4 weeks of iPhone 4S sales it sold more than 4 million devices and also as of December in Apples 4th quarter it posted more than 35 million sales.

Apple also is looking to add some very "new" features including LTE 4G and NFC both which have been thrown into devices, but have not undergone Apples strict and powerful takeover of the feature. Apple will make the feature run smoothly and to their standard before releasing it. Many believed that the first iPhone 5, which became the iPhone 4S was going to have LTE 4G. It never did but it did move Apple from its normal June/July iPhone release pushing the iPhone 4S to October. Many believe the push back was a small attempt to have the iPhone 4S LTE equipped, which never happened. LTE has already proved itself as a real battery whore. Emptying the batterys of many Android users, often many users end up only running 3G on their 4G devices.

NFC is also brand new while its launched on the Nexus Galaxy its not even useable. Upon launch Verizon came out and put a block on the capability while the phone was with the carrier. Both Verizon and Apple do not want to lose out on any profits that which this new technology is bound to bring.

Back to the October release, this stays on Apples normal 12 month cycle, gives them more time to milk the iPhone 4S sales and also gives them more time to work with LTE and NFC.
