Prompt 17: His Clothes.
~*~* Full prompt supplied at bottom, requested by @what-the-pyaar~*~*
“Hello, Dad?”
“Aarav? What’s going on, is everything alright?” Arnav’s eyebrows furrowed in worry. It was unusual for his son to call him during the day when he was at work.
“I know you wanted to surprise mom by telling her you’re back from your trip tomorrow and showing up today but…I think you should come see her now.” Aarav explained.
“Now?” Arnav blinked in confusion. “Aarav, what’s wrong with your mother?”
“She’s…being weird.”
“More than usual?” Arnav questioned, trying to picture a crazier Khushi.
“Dad, she’s scaring me.”
Pausing for a moment in wonder, Arnav finally replied to his son as he walked out of his office. “I’m on my way.”
====================================================
Striding into Shantivaan, Arnav greeting his sister and grandmother, both of whom were not expecting him to be home.
“Chhote, you’re back from your trip early?” Anjali questioned.
“Yes Di I ended up finishing my meetings early. Where’s Khushi?” he questioned back.
“Dad!” catching Aarav before he crashed into his legs, Arnav leaned down to give his son a tight hug.
“Hey Aarav. What’s going on with your mom?” Arnav pulled back from his son, watching as he looked away from him.
“You have to see…hear this for yourself.” Aarav hesitated in replying before leading his father up the stairs.
Stopping by the closed bedroom doors, Aarav raised a finger to his lips before pointing to his ear, indicating that he wanted Arnav to listen to what was happening inside the room. Leaning towards the door, Arnav could only hear Khushi moving around their room.
Wondering what he was supposed to actually be hearing, everything cleared up when she finally started speaking.
“Stupid Laad Governor, always going away on business trips. Whenever I try to argue or ask to go along it’s always ‘Shh Khushi I’ll be back soon’ or 'Relax baby, you won’t even notice me gone’ or 'What the Khushi, you can’t be jealous of my secretary.’”
Suppressing a smirk at her impersonations of him, he motioned for Aarav to leave and that he could handle what was going on before he quietly opened the door, not wanting to alert her to his presence.
Nothing could have prepared him for the sight of Khushi dressed in his suit jacket and tie, walking around the room as she mumbled to herself while hanging their clothing.
“With him it’s always relax or calm down or what the what the what the, does he even notice that I miss him when he is gone! All he seems to notice is when my nose goes red, oh that’s right, because it’s usually his fault!” her mumbles continued, not noticing when Arnav crept up behind her until he wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her into his body. His other hand rose quickly to cover her mouth as she attempted to give an ear piercing shriek in surprise.
“So I’m stupid huh?” he whispered in her ear, trailing his lips down to place feather light kisses on her neck. “I neglect you when I leave and don’t even notice that you miss me?”
Moving his hand that was covering her mouth his fingers traced the column of her neck and stopped to rub at her collar bone.
“Arnav-ji-” she whimpered.
“Shhh Khushi, let me prove to you how much I missed you and how much I know you missed me baby.” he murmured, turning her around in his arms as he pushed his suit jacket off her shoulders. “But first tell me, why are you wearing my clothes?”
Feeling her face flush in embarrassment, Khushi tried to pull away from him only to be tugged back when he grabbed the tie still around her neck, winding it around his hand as he pulled her closer.
“Tell me.” he ordered, lips brushing along hers tantalizingly.
“I-I uh-” she whispered, staring into his eyes as her face reddened further.
“Y-you?” he teased against her lips again.
“I missed you okay? And your clothes smelled like you, putting them on was like you were here and…and I needed you to be here.” She whispered, moving her gaze away from him at her confession.
Staring at her in wonder for a moment, he slowly smiled at her confession. “Wow Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, you really know how to welcome your husband home. That was some confession.”
“Confession?” Khushi stared at him in wonder.
“Relax baby, now I’m back, you don’t need to be wearing my clothing. I’m here to wrap you in my scent personally.” He murmured before pressing their lips together finally. Laying her on the bed and straddling her waist, his last coherent thought was hoping that Aarav didn’t come back and attempt to listen at the door.

Ahhhhh!!! This is the story we had been talking about!!! Its sooooooi good! And hot damn, that was ~VIVID~
Yes this is the one! Thank you so much for your help I really needed someone to help me that day, I’m so happy you were available! I’m so glad you liked it, I found out half way through the ‘vivid’ part that I can write explicit detail but when it comes to Arnav and Khushi...yah this is as explicit as it gets XD I had pictures with the text up on wattpad but I don’t know how to transfer them to tumblr so if you wanna check that out...*wink*
Prompt 16: Do you really want me to tie you up again?
*another new verse, Mafia verse this time*
**VERY HIGH RATED, CHAPTER MIGHT BECOME PRIVATE.**
Story Ideas in the wee morning
When you get a story idea at quarter to two in the morning, what choice do you have but share it so that you will eventually be forced to write it...here’s a rough summary!
The day Arnav rescued Khushi from the collapsing guesthouse and dropped her off at home injured, he had no idea what her reaction would be. He couldn’t have known that Khushi would lose a part of herself due to the fear of death, the knowledge that no one cared if she lived or died that day and to top it all off being pinned to a pillar inside the house that could collapse at any second by someone who had threatened to physically assault her before. That night, something within her shut down, she refused to open up and become the girl she once was in fear of further heartache. How different would the story be after all this, from Payal’s marriage to Akash to the influence of Shyam in her life. Will her and Arnav ever have a relationship much less a marriage after all this scarring?
....thoughts?
Writing help...
I hate to do this but...anyone possibly online to help bounce ideas with me for my next prompt? A little bit stuck...

Prompt 15: Reading
*Find full prompt at the bottom*
Khushi flipped the page of the fantasy novel she was reading, engrossed in the story. She almost missed the guy taking the chair next to her in the back of the library, placing his books on the table.
She went back to her book, attempting to get back into it and nearly succeeded when she noticed that he hadn't actually opened his books. Glancing out of the corner of her eye, she saw his eyes focused on the page she had just finished, moving steadily back on forth as he read the script.
Deciding to wait for him to finish, she softly smiled and turned the page when his eyes finally stopped moving.
She let this carry on, pausing to let him catch up whenever she noticed he was still reading after she finished.
Distracted for a moment by her phone, she fell behind in her reading, finally allowing him to get ahead of her. She was trying to read quicker to catch up knowing that he was done when she felt eyes focused on her. She attempted to stop the blush she knew was raising up her cheeks but knew she failed.
She turned the page anyway, glad he didn't comment on her sudden embarrassment. Finishing the page, she finally turned, taking in his sharp features, chocolate brown eyes and chiseled jaw covered with light stubble.
"Why did you stop?" He murmured, eyes finally looking up at her and widening slightly at catching her staring at him.
"I'm Khushi, I figured I should at least introduce myself since we have been reading together for almost an hour now."
Watching his eyes light up with humor and lips tilt in a slight smirk, Khushi felt that blush come back at his deep voice.
"Arnav."

*The long awaited? next installment of Secretary arc*
Khushi's eyes filled with tears at the scene in front of her. She slowly backed out of the room, making sure to not make any noise to disturb the couple inside. She leaned against the wall, getting her breathing under control and blinking the tears away quickly before standing straight again, adjusting her clothing and hurrying down the stairs.
She passed other guests without a second glance, her preoccupied thoughts not allowing her to focus on the decorations or the music or the people. A hand on her arm stopped her, forcing her to turn around.
"Khushi-ji?" Anjali questioned her brother's date, worried when she hadn't responded to her name the two times she had called her. "Are you alright?"
Glancing away, Khushi exhaled gently, trying to talk through the lump in her throat. Looking up at Anjali again, she plastered a fake smile on her face. "Yes Anjali-ji, I'm fine. I just have to leave."
"Right now?" Anjali questioned, eyes clouding with confusion. "But Khushi-ji, the party has barely started, are you sure?"
"I'm sorry Anjali-ji but I do really need to go." Khushi murmured, eyes nervously glancing at the stairs. She wanted to leave before they came down, before she was forced to interact with them. She couldn't handle it without breaking down, something she really did not want to do here, especially if he was near and watching.
"Oh that's too bad, Chotte is dropping you off right?" Anjali questioned, watching as Khushi flinched at Arnav's nickname.
"Uh no, he should take care of the party, I'll just grab a cab." Khushi hurried to deter her from calling her brother, wincing when she saw two shadows approaching the top of the staircase. "Thank you for having me Anjali-ji and sorry I could not stay longer. Have a good night."
Folding her hands together, Khushi bowed her head slightly before turning around and hurrying towards the front doors, ignoring Anjali's startled cry for her to wait up.
Turning around in bewilderment at the younger girls hasty exit, Anjali watched as Arnav descended the stairs. He was looking around at all the gathered guests, seemingly looking for someone. She watched as he finally headed towards her, eyes still darting around looking through the room.
"Di have you seen Khushi?" he questioned when he reached her, giving her his undivided attention when he couldn't find who he was looking for himself.
"Yes Chotte, she just left." Anjali informed him, observing as his eyes widened in shock.
"She left? What do you mean she left?" he replied, his face morphing into a mask of anger.
"I mean she said she had something to do and left." Anjali replied, knowing the anger was not aimed at her. "She seemed really preoccupied and when I asked if you were giving her a ride she said she would get a cab and rushed out before I could argue."
"She didn't even tell me she wanted to leave." Arnav informed, now really confused about what was going on. "Di, I'm going to go after her, but the party--"
"Say no more Chotte, I'll take care of it. You just go make sure she is alright okay?" Anjali smiled, giving him a slight nudge towards the door to get him moving.
Anjali watched as her brother rushed out the door with a smile on her face. Feeling a tap on her shoulder, she turned to see one of his employees and a close friend of hers standing beside her.
"What's with the smile?" the girl questioned her.
"Lavanya, I think my Chotte is in love!" Anjali squealed, sharing the news happily. Giggling happily, the two women rejoined the party, thinking of the supposed happy couple.
Reality was far from their imaginations however.
Arnav drove like a madman, scanning the sidewalks for her figure. He knew she couldn't have made it to the main road yet to catch a cab, she hadn't been gone long enough. Spotting her pink dupatta out of the corner of his eye, he pulled over to the side of the road with a screech of tires and breaks.
Jumping out of the car in a run, he caught up with her dejected figure, eyes downcast and the weight of the world seemingly on her slim shoulders. He grasped her elbow to turn her around, keeping his grip soft so that he wouldn't hurt her.
"Khushi, talk to me! Why did you leave without telling me? Did something happen? Is there some emergency?"
Blinking slowly, she finally seemed to come out of her trance and looked up at him. She shocked him by backing away, breaking his hold on her and wrapping her arms around herself as if in protection from him. "No Mr. Raizada. I just needed to leave. I'm sorry for disturbing you and pulling you away from your guests. You should go back to the party."
"Screw the party, tell me what's going on? What happened that caused you to leave like that?" he growled, taking a step towards her not understanding why she was suddenly shutting him out.
"Nothing happened. I just would like to go home sir." she replied, her eyes not meeting his as she stepped away from him.
"Fine, you don't want to tell me, alright. I'll drive you, get in the car." Arnav relented, figuring he could convince her to tell him what happened while driving her home.
"No!" she immediately protested. "That's fine sir, I'll catch a cab."
"Khushi, either get in the car now or I will pick you up and put you in there!" He growled in warning, taking another step towards her. "And stop with the sir business, I told you to call me Arnav."
Seeing him move to carry out his threat, he watched as she hastily made her way towards the car, probably not wanting him to actually manhandle her. Opening the door, he watched as she hesitated and sent her a dark look, making her hurriedly sit down.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Khushi ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Khushi gazed at the passing scenery as they headed towards her apartment, ignoring Arnav's attempts at getting her to talk. She couldn't get over how used she felt, how stupid. How was she supposed to talk to him about what she witnessed?
She knew he hadn't made any promises but still, how cheap must he see her to do something like that at a party he invited her to.
"Khushi please, tell me what is going on. Why did you leave the party, why are you mad?" he questioned her, not taking his eyes off the road.
Khushi remained silent, praying that the ride would be over with soon so that she wouldn't have to answer any of his questions.
"Khushi when I'm talking to you I expect you to answer!" he snapped, seemingly tired of her silence.
"There's something you should know about me Mr. Raizada--" she began speaking softly only to be inturrupted by him.
"Arnav dammit!"
"Mr. Raizada," she emphasized, choosing to ignore his inturruption. "When I agreed to this fake date plan of yours I was doing it as a favour to my employer, someone whom I work for and greatly respect. I wasn't offering anything more than that."
Taking a deep breath, she finally turned to face him, watching as his expression darkened with each sentence she spoke. "I may have given the impression that I am easy or willing to persue something deeper when I did not thwart your advances and for that I apologize. I thought that you wanted to persue something deeper with me which is why I didn't stop you but I refuse to be a girlfriend on the side, I need something more than that in my life."
"Khushi, what the-, what are you even talking about?" Arnav growled, turning to face her after parking infront of her apartment complex.
"I'm saying that our relationship is a professional one and cannot exceed that." Khushi replied, staring at a point over his shoulder so that she would not have to meet his eyes. "I'm saying that I refuse to be with someone who would invite me to a party as his pretend girlfriend and then meet up with a girl in a room and start making out with her! I may not be your girlfriend but if you had one already then you shouldn't have done all those...things to me before the party."
Seeing the shocked look on Arnavs face caused Khushi to realize that she had maybe said too much. Wanting to make a quick escape from the tense atmosphere now enveloping the car, she shoved her door open and ran into her building, impatiently jabbing the elevator call button.
Dashing inside, she quickly pressed her floor number followed by the close door, watching as Arnav ran into the building after her. She sent a quick thank you prayer to Devi Maiyaa when the doors closed before he could come inside after her.
She still could not believe he would do something like that, using her and lying to make her another one of his conquests. She had tried to ignore the rumours around the office of his player ways but apparently they were true after all.
Glancing up at the ding of the elevator, she made her way towards her apartment only to stop when she saw a sweaty Arnav standing infront of her door.
"How--?" she murmured, not able to form a full sentence due to shock.
"Stairs." he replied, stalking over to her. She forced herself not to walk backwards, not wanting to show any weakness infront of him.
"Khushi what you saw, let me explain--" He began but this time she cut him off.
"There is nothing to explain, I didn't make myself clear to you and you misunderstood, let's forget this ever happened and move on." Khushi stated, straightening her spine and finally looking him in the eye. "We work together and that is all there is to it, a professional relationship. That's it. End of discussion."
Side stepping around him, Khushi began walking towards her appartment, pulling her keys out of her clutch as she went.
"And what if I don't want a professional relationship with you Khushi?" he questioned without turning to face her retreating back.
"Then expect my letter of resignation to be on your desk on Monday morning Mr. Raizada." she replied, fitting her key into the lock and entering the dark apartment. Leaning against the door she finally let a single tear escape.

How did Khushi reveal her pregnancy to you?
She blurted it out. I was only asking her if she was sick or wasn’t feeling well and she came back with a tirade blaming me for leaving her unable to eat her favourite foods.
