it's not even that shinku has a type he just doesn't know how to exist without The Escapism Friend enabling him and telling him he's amazing in every way and everything will be okay if we just get lost in our interests and his acclaims and never acknowledge consequences or self-reflect
arguably his parents also did this. ever since shinku was born he's been surrounded by people praising him for just existing. for his entire life he has been coddled endlessly for the sake of improving his gift. of course he's egotistical enough to believe he can fix all of society and everything "wrong" with his sister by just publishing a book.
his truths are silly compared to some of the other characters. frivolous. but very characterising. shinku believes he is always right. shinku didn't develop low self-esteem from being picked on, but instead a greater sense of superiority. as long as he has someone by his side to praise him for everything, he doesn't have to unpack these tendencies at all. shinku really wants to believe he's a good person
maybe that's part of why he can't stand the idea of being abandoned
