I’ve been asked a few times “What is Minnesota like?” So if you wanted to know what Minnesota is normally like in the winter, it’s this. Cold, and delightfully snowy. Right now we have a system that’s settled in for the day and probably into tomorrow. We usually get between 1 to 5 feet of snow from December to late February, and the snow lingers until April or May. Yes, 5 feet of snow isn’t unusual in Minnesota, but it’s usually up toward Canada and the Great Lakes. Here in central Minnesota we usually get about 3 to 3.5 feet on your average winter.
