*the voice of David Attenborough continues ... *
Notice how the Doctor takes a careful approach ... ?
Moving slowly, and with caution towards the Detective ... allowing his eyes to convey his intent.
His hands are steady; and his meaning ... unmistakeable.
One might wonder why he uses such desperate caution? Despite having received the apparent signs of receptiveness to his advances, thus far ...?
The Detective, as you can see ... has surrounded himself with a nest of papers, books, and laptops.
Typical of the mating rituals to attract a suitable Doctor.
Notice the shine of the laptops ... ? How they are adorned with apples and windows to catch the eye?
Note the quality of the scattered papers? The gold embossing and the red threads, weaving in and out of this seemingly organized chaos.
It is like a work of art. Built with laborious attention paid to each detail ... to ensure that everything is in it's place.
... and it has been worth it.
.
He has captured the attention of a brave species of Doctor.
The Doctor himself, must be bold, and fearless.
Had this Doctor been too timid at first? Or spooked the Detective with too quick a movement in the early stages of their courtship ... ? His chances may have been lost forever.
But he is making good headway.
.
The two creatures are now side-by-side. Exploring the piles gathered. At times, they even appear to be discussing matters of great estate?
What a delight it would be, if we could know the topic of discussion.
.
The Doctor, it is observed ... will rarely pay attention to a scrap of paper or a laptop, without the Detective pointing it out first. But once engaged, will interact with the item for as long as it has the Detective's attention.
In the end, it is uncertain if the Doctor finds these accoutrements themselves intriguing ...?
or simply tolerates them for the company of the Detective ... ?
.
All we know is:
From this moment on ... the Doctor will only have eyes for the Detective.
.
Each will never take another partner in his lifetime, once this elaborate ritual has been completed. Death ... Is the only thing that can separate them.
Doctors, and Detectives, are known to mate for life.
There.
We step back now, to take a moment and appreciate this rarely allowed glimpse into a secret world. Their union now complete.
At times like this ...
We allow ourselves to wonder ...
What mysteries can their universe hold? And what serendipitous event first brought these two unlikely creatures ... together?
This has been David Attenborough.
Thank you for joining me.
Silverpoint drawing was a common medieval technique for drawing in illuminated manuscripts. Using a stylus of soft metal, the artist makes marks on parchment or a clay coated surface. The silver deposits are soft and subtle but oxidize and darken with time.

I think i read somewhere here that someone said, 'Imagine if Jeremy Brett was still alive and had Twitter!!'
I mean, just imagine how unhinged his account would be. Considering his love for photography, he would probably just post random snaps of people in the most unprepared ways—mouths agape, eyes closed, and all. And I've got a feeling he would talk about Holmes FOR HOURS with others. Also let's not forget the random Shakespearean quotes posted in the middle of the night.
We're robbed yall.
Sometimes I start a drawing and it takes the wheel and suddenly we're going to a dark place I was not expecting to visit on a Tuesday night.

"Strigoi"
Mixed media on Canson art board, 16 x 20 inches.
Strigoi is a type of vampire that can also be a witch. It is believed they have two souls and can send one out at night to visit other strigoi and search for human blood. Female strigoi often try to live a normal human life but become exhausted and drain their loved ones.
They can shapeshift and often appear as a poltergeist, troublesome spirit, or biting creature.

I am not immune to the gay pirate show. Blackbeard is a whole mood. I love Taika and his lovely, expressive face.
