A blond ear twitched, blue eyes locked on the corpse just behind him. Her nose wrinkled before she exhaled harshly; the fact that burning bodies smelled similar to grilled meat was something she didn’t enjoy. A crispy corpse shouldn’t have her thinking about a cheeseburger, but maybe that’s why she wasn’t a true hero.

Finally she met his gaze again, shaking her head. “No… What’d they do?” She couldn’t deny her curiosity as an ear shifted, listening to their surroundings so no one snuck up on them.

"What's it matter now?" He scoffed, turning to face her a bit better. She didn't seem scared. She didn't shy away from the body. Dabi wondered what was wrong with her. He was almost curious enough to ask.

"It'll help the itch" He sat her down on the edge of the tub. Under the sink is where he kept his skincare and medical supplies. Grabbing the bottle of aloe gel, he squirt some on his hand.

"All right.. Shirt up" He instructed. Dabi braced himself so see her wound. But all the discomfort she was feeling was because it was healing.

"Welcome to your new home, Kizune" Dabi reached into the box and pulled out a small, scraggly sphynx kitten. She had a little bit of fur and was missing most of her left ear. "Can't wait for you to meet my friends"

Riley was curled up in the bed her back was still killing her but she was healing. She would have a rather bad scar in the spot she was stabbed and with what Dabi had to do but she didnt die...

"Dabi...scratch my back the scab is itchy...." She whined as she poked him playfully in the side trying ro get his attention.

Really he did his best to avoid looking too long at her wound or the bandages. He kept hearing that voice every time he did. That it was his fault. She was hurt to get to him. How could he forgive himself for that?

Dabi was snapped out of thought when Riley poked him. "Lets put some of my stuff on it. I like aloe, not just for burns. But it's good for the skin in general" He put an arm around her waist and lead them to the bathroom.

Dabi slipped into the hideout. It was 3 am. And he was trying his best to stay unseen. He had a bag of snacks and medical supplies.

"This should be enough for tonight. That Hero got a few good hits on us.."

She winced from the sudden movement but her eyes opened and she nodded. She understood and was ready. "Do what you got to do...." She murmured as she brought her arms up and wrapped them around his shoulders and nuzzled into the crook of his neck.

She wasnt ready to die, there was still so much left to do and see and she wanted to take down Endevor with Dabi. This was their world and they were planning on watching it burn....Together.

Dabi held her. He followed the blood trail to the wound with one hand. The other arm wrapped around her in a hug. He took a deep breath and pulled her tighter. He ignited the tips of his fingers and pressed them into the wound in her back. He held her tightly to both comfort her and keep her from moving.

"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry.." He held it for a few seconds. The familiar scent of burned flesh found his nose. And he figured that meant it was enough. "You still conscious?"

"I'll fucking end you-" Blue flames flickered to life around his arms. His head was spinning. His blood went from ice to boiling. "You shouldn't.. Have hurt her.." He growled. Flames came out his mouth now. And the air around him got hotter.

It was Riley's voice that brought him back down. That's right.. Can't burst into flames, or she'll get caught up in it. Dabi frowned. But he couldn't waste his attention on some unknown thug. Riley was bleeding out. He had to act fast.

Dabi knew what he needed to do to stop her bleeding. But it was going to hurt. A lot. And he'd never actually used his fire to heal before. "Riley.. You're losing lots of blood.. I'm gonna cauterize the wound. I've got no choice" He pulled her closer. Tilting her head to face him.

This was supposed to be just a scouting mission but somehow Riley had gotten separated from Dabi. Her first instinct was panic. The one person she had in the LOV that brought her comfort was gone.

"Shit..." She looked around frantically for Dabi then felt the anxiety rise. She had to find him.

Rushing off from the spot she was in was mistake number one. She had someone watching her and now they were following her.

She finally caught sight of that familiar spiky hair and face ans was about to call out for him when she felt a sharp pain in her back and warm sticky liquid running down her back. The scent of copper filled the air and her vision blurred around the edges soon growing dark. "Dabi...." her voice was weak as she collapsed to the ground, blood starting to pool around her.

Dabi cursed to himself. He turned his back for one minute and they got separated. This was bad. He knew they weren't alone here. He worked quick to find her.

It was when he heard some footsteps that he followed the sound through the building. But they seemed to stay just ahead so conveniently. There was another sound that caught his attention. The familiar sound of a body hitting the floor.

Dabi turned towards the sound. His blue eyes widened as they fell on her. His heart dropped. Blood ran cold. It sounded like his head had been shoved under water. No. Not her. Please not her..

"R-iley.."

Dabi runs to her side. He falls to his knees next to her and pulls her up into his lap.

"You.. You! You did this?? You hurt her?!" He yelled into the shadows. He knew someone was there. He could feel it in his flames. Kindling was near.

Dabi smiled. He turned to face her and then scooped her up in his arms. "Well then to bed with us" He said and marched them back into the bedroom.
