Why did the other girl not start on her mark? Do you lose points?

@james-mccartan you’re suppose to start on the X so it’s an even playing field from the start but some dancers stray away. sometimes the judges will ring the bell and ask dancers to move over but in her case they did not. I don’t think it’s a huge deal unless the dancer is really far in front of it trying to get ahead of the other dancers. judges can take off points for anything I suppose but idk if they do :)

@glitzjigsandsass how do you get your punches so high and effortless?? (The kick/jump you do in the beginning of your lead, where one foot kicks your butt as you jump– we call them punches at my school). Ive always LOVED yours and can’t ever seem to get mine to get high like that!

So proud to be a part of Team Clann McCaul, I am so lucky to have the most hard working,inspiring teachers in the whole world!! They sacrificed so, so much time and put in so much work, I can’t think of anything more they could have done to help my dancing. I can’t thank them enough for everything they do for me. I can honestly say I couldn’t have given it anymore and I am so proud of that. It was a tough year starting my maths and physics degree at Queens, driving 8 hours to dance class a week, practicing every moment and doing Angela’s work as well, the rest was out of my hands. I sacrificed so many opportunities to perform on the world stage and I’m so proud to be on the podium for a 5th consecutive time! The hard work will only continue!! Roll on Dublin 2017!! ☘☘ congratulations to all the u19 ladies, you were all amazing x (at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall)
