there was a wish for blood in the air, and it caused a vicious smirk upon the lips of the handsome man wandering down the alleyways. his mask tucked away into his coat, only to be donned at the right time. but for now, he wanted them to see him. hearing the whispers of fans and admirers when he passed making him chuckle. fools. they were all inferior to him and T O N I G H T some of them would pay the toll of existing in the same way as him. but he remembered the words of his master ( how he hated that word, no one could control him ) and he wouldn’t strike just yet even if he wished to hex those who were in his way as he walked through the crowd. vaguely interested in the rumoured auction that would take place here. deciding on a spot in a corner he leans against the brick wall and soon pulls out his wand, to play with. all calm, collected and unlike himself. head turning to the person next to him. “ do you believe it’s real? ”
amelia was truly panicking. internally, of course, but like most of the people waiting in the alley, there was a lot on the line. no amount of preaching about the nonexistence of the list was enough to make herself believe it was fake. but even now, there are plenty of excuses readily available at the tip of her tongue if anyone asked her presence was a work assignment, nothing personal. the woman had gotten good at this, and she intends to stay that way, no matter how many times someone questions her opinion. “NO.” she doesn’t bother to look beside her, gaze instead trained ahead of her, anticipating the explosion that was bound to occur any moment now. the tension was heavy and lingering, threatening to spill over at any moment, the RIGHT moment. “it’s just a poorly thought out rumour and once people begin to realize that, this will be all over.” yet her feet were still planted firmly on the ground, no intention of moving any time soon.
