it’s gonna take conscious effort to forget the things I know about you. you’re a stranger yet so familiar and yet there’s this emptiness whenever I think about you. It’s the nights that make me think of you and the times when I wanna give up.
I would do it all again. The late night calls, the drunk calls, the having dinner together, the talks, the feels, the double texting. I know I did love you, and maybe that’s enough. I’ve been wanting to pen this down for the longest time but I haven’t had the guts to or maybe I just didn’t want to admit to myself and I guess today is the day. It’s bittersweet but it’s okay.
Everything is okay now. I wish you happiness, I wish you’ll be kinder to yourself, I wish you see yourself the way I see you. Kind, good, deserving. You’ll always be an important part of me discovering who I am and it’s time to let go. You were never mine to begin with.
