Very excited to share that my poem "play marbles" has been published in Sinister Wisdom 140: Golden! Sinister Wisdom is a multicultural lesbian literary & art journal founded in 1976, a living archive that celebrates the multiplicity of lesbian identities across races, classes, genders, abilities, and lived experiences.
I wrote this poem a while ago, way back in 2024, before I had even begun to consider medical transition. I had spent my life, and continue to spend it, looking like my father's side of the family and the women in it. I find as I begin to transition, I still do, maybe even more so. I think the ability to change my body reflects the ability to change my life ancestrally. Immigration holds the same function; both require you to start from the beginning.
Consider purchasing a copy of Golden, there's some awesome stuff inside!

Written on a typewriter as part of a museum exhibit in Worcester, MA. It was such a fun, new medium for me. It requires more patience and preciseness than usual because there's no good way to erase what you've already put down on the page. Highly recommend using one if you ever get the chance to!

My poems "march, nyc" and "a tart sweetness" were published in RFD Press, the longest-running reader-written gay quarterly since 1974! You can read the whole issue here. Very proud of myself for this one :)
