There is nothing radical about white women that fulfill every Eurocentric beauty standard “learning” to love themselves and I’m not saying white girls don’t go through self esteem issues because we all do but it gets fucking aggravating seeing white girls like that get praised and make it seem like some sort of battle for them when Eurocentric beauty standards have always been the standard. The world has always told you it’s ok to love yourself. The world has always told you that you’re beautiful. There’s no comparison whatsoever when you’re looking at how POC have to learn to love themselves in a world that tells them that the opposite of everything they are is what’s considered beautiful. I’m just so sick of seeing white girls trying to oppress themselves and making it seem like them learning to love themselves is eye opening. I don’t mean to make white girls feel like they’re wrong for loving themselves, we all should love ourselves but give WOC the space to actual tell their stories of triumph with learning to love themselves in this society cause that’s a much more real battle and those stories need to be heard.
