She was calm, too calm, the smile on the other witch’s face plastered on, an expression painted on a statue. – beautiful but cold. In that moment she was life and death all at once, vibrant and yet not moving. Sybill knew but one thing more: she had to get out. With all her willpower she flung herself towards the door, every motion propelling her forward toward the door. She made it she had reached the end…
And then it was as if everything had slowed down. Sybill didn’t quite realize what had happened, why her mind seemed to be racing quicker than before. It felt as if her body was suspended in honey. The energy was there, reaching toward the handle of the door, fingertips barely touching the metal knob, but the motion was stopped. She made to turn her head to see where her failed victim was, when she realized with a horrifying start that she couldn’t move at all.
Suddenly Sybill’s vision was made up of Isabella, her perfect face sneering at her, contorting itself into a dark smile that would have made Sybill shiver if she could move.
“We are going to have so much fun together.”
Next thing she knew Sybill was being thrown backward, the breath knocked out of her lungs as her back smacked against the foot-board of Isabella’s bed. White spots danced on the corners of her vision as she clutched her chest, coughing as she struggled to compose herself. Her eyes darted around the room, looking for anything she could use. Her wand was unseen somewhere on the floor, knocked out of her hand when she had been magically flung back to the bed. Her knife now lodged in the opposite wall, and the witch stood in between Sybill and her weapon. She felt utterly helpless as tears began to form on the corners of eyes widened with fear.
“P-please. You don’t have to d-do anything I – I swear I’ve learned my lesson, I won’t come here again, I won’t bother you I’ll move to the other side of the street so we never have to cross paths, I’ll – I’ll worship at your feet just… please don’t kill me. Please.”
"Oh no, honey, who ever said I was going to kill you?” Slowly Isabella shook her head as if the idea alone was already utterly ridiculous. “Though I can’t promise that once I’m done with you, you won’t beg me to kill you.” Flashing a soft, almost gentle to call, smile at her, she took another sip to empty her glass which she then gently put down on the table behind her before she turned her head towards the brunette again. While she pretended to already have a plan, she in truth actually didn’t have one yet. Quite surprising considering that she usually always had a plan, but as the attack had been a surprise, she didn’t have anything concrete in mind yet. Only that she was going to make the bitch suffer and really bad at that.
“I don’t really think you’ve learned your lesson, though. It’s not very nice to trespass and attempt at murder, you know, and what kind of responsible person would I be if I didn’t try to get you to learn that very valuable lesson?”, she responded innocently, the corners of her mouth still curled up in a little smile, “but don’t worry. I won’t hurt you, at least not yet. At least not that bad.” While feeling the still warm blood running down your hands was a joy, breaking down a person mentally was an even better feeling. Tipping her left pointing finger against her chin as a thoughtful gesture she eyed Sybill as if she still needed to think about what she was going to do to her. To be honest, a plan had already formed in her mind, but she consciously waited a bit for she knew that it would only increase her fear. And fear was exactly what she was going for.
