And icRY b/c Tom is a horrible liar and like if Isabella ever walked in on them, I feel like the others would be able to act naturally but Tom’s a horrible liar and would be like “I’M JUST GOING TO GO GET SOME NAILS AND FIX THIS LOOSE BOARD” really loudly and idk one of those people who narrates their actions when they lie idk he’s a mess. (Also he has like zero knowledge of carpentry???? and like he doesn’t know how to fake it and it would be such a mess)

Yeah, I dunno that they wold interact much, unfortunately??? At least as things stand. i DON’T think the’d frequent the same places and as soon as Danyl hears that they are poor he wouldn’t be interested in ~accidently bumping into them in the halls~ if they ever came up to visit Rowlin & co. But possibly in the future sometime?? I haven’t decided if Danyl’s gonna join the resitance yet or not, but if he does then they could b/c I do think the resistance does a lot of meetinga at Isabella’s house posing as ~repairmen hahaha

Yeah, the only time I can potentially see them running into each other is if Isabella goes to the tavern to see Amia and they run into each other or smth there but other than that I agree!  I can’t really think of another situation that might throw them together so yeah if they interact at all I feel like it would be sparingly.  But yeah!!  If he does end up being in/out of the resistance, and certainly if she’s in on the resistance (which she may or may not be by then idk????) - or even if she’s not and yeah he’s pretending to be a worker hahaha I can see them interacting.  I can also see where, if she doesn’t know, some humorous situations could arise from him being a “worker” and her therefore assuming the position of being his boss and smdh

So I doubt they’d have much chance to know each other, since Romayne arrives a little before the wedding and obv they leave sometime thereafter (when mourning permits), but Isabella would still want to meet him, esp since he’ll be the new consort and so she’s like ‘hopEFULLY this dude isn’t as hopeless as all the rest of the leadership in Aragoth - let’s find out!’ hahaha

Okay, so Sysley definitely knew Jon and she knows his relatives Jesper and Roderick … and while Jesper and Roderick are both far and away Jon’s superiors, that’s not saying that much b/c Jon has literally set the bar as low as it can possibly go and so if you are the worst person imaginable, you are on the same level as Jon. Like there’s no going lower ;DDD

Anyway, so that being said, I think she’s probably expecting the Fontaines to be better than Jon but honestly probably on the same level as Jesper/Roderick, haha. Especially b/c I think the only thing she knows about them is how they are related to Jon and that Arthur Arrington is in love with most of them and Cassius Montagu with the rest and like??? that’s not a super swell recommendation in Sysley’s eyes either, haha. 

BUT when she does meet them, I think she will be pleasantly surprised and would actually really enjoy their company!!!! I feel like she’d invite them to have tea with her and Alia and Isolde pretty frequently and I think she’d feel awful for them given their situation. I can even see her offering them Icemark to stay if they are ever kicked out of  Yilankale by Jesper/the Beaumonts. I mean Icemark is even further up North and like there’s not much there but its in wayyyy better condition than Yilankale. Unfortunately, the only downside to that is that when Sysley dies, Icemark goes to Remon Vipont and his wife so that offer isn’t really that helpful long term but it still stands for now. :)

No, but I deF think Isabella would totally get that she’s like ‘yeaH this doesn’t look greAT’ aklsjdfkjsdkfjd but to be fair, I think Isabella has a somewhat dim view of the north bc she’s always known it as the place that Jon’s from which...doesn’t exactly recommend it haksdfjklsdjf ++ all the westerners who are associated w the north are not that amazing?  Like, Lyna Vipont is super grasping and Malculmus is...Malculmus and Joseph Vipont was 100% cool w working for Jon soooo and the du Feys and like I feel like Alivia isn’t exactly someone who makes you feel warm and chummy and her sisters are pr quiet, it would seem, and so Isabella’s just like ‘no???? thanks????’  Though, that being said, she quite likes the two northern Wystans and Lysander Stafford is sweet enough if supER gullible lskdjfaklsdjafk

Also, I feel like she’s not sure about Sysley before she meets her bc she just knows her as like Alivia’s relative from the north and that’s not a high recommendation as far as Isabella’s concerned hahaha  That being said, she’ll be completely civil and then, as soon as she gets to know Sysley at all, she’ll love her!!  I think they’re actually kinda similar in a lot of respects, even if they show themselves to the world quite differently, if that makes sense?  Like, they both value honesty and admire generosity, etc.

Awww, omg I’m picturing them all visiting at Icemark for awhile and the four of them cozily chatting around the fire and making each other comfortable and I feel like it’d be such a sweet haven for all of them bc they’ve all lost ppl and they’re all surrounded on all sides by enemies and I creY lsdjfalksdjfkja  Either way, tho, bc I don’t really see #teambeaumont kicking the Fontains out of Yilankale (it wouldn’t look good and I think they’re v aware of keeping Lynessa’s beloved generous reputation well intact ++ it’s not like they have something else they could really use Yilankale for, given its condition hahaha) but maybe they stay for like a fortnight or so during the v coldest parts of the winter, since I feel like Yilankale isn’t all that air tight, or something hahaha ;D  It’d also give Sysley and Guin a good chance to chat about the resistance ;D  

Either way, tho, you know the Fontaines loVE hanging w Sysley and Alia and Isolde for tea!! and they can all smile and chat amongst themselves and judge all of Rowlin’s choices ;D

Melisenda’s #1 goal in life is to marry a good husband (her definition of good just means money and a title lmao) so I can see where she had once set her sights on Quincy and then he married an easterner inSTEAD (rude!!!!!) so I can see where Melisenda tried to befriend Isabella when she arrived but only meant to sabotage her and make her life here a living hell (perhaps even start rumors that she was unfaithful to her husband!!!!) But I feel like all of that backfired b/c Melisenda would never be able to outsmart Isabella, ever.

I gotta lauGH bc I feel like this whole situation was sucH a cluster and meanwhile Isabella’s like ‘god you two deserve each other’ at Quincy & Melisenda jk jk I don’t think Isabella thinks anyone deserves Quincy except maybe her cousin Jon ;D but she ~certainly doesn’t think she, herself, deserves further punishment for marrying Quincy than the punishment of being his wife already is alksdjafkdsf  

I feel like Isabella also came to the West w lots of goals bc 1) that’s who she is as a person and 2) if she’s gonna do this (marry this dude etc) she’s gonna make it worth it and build Devereux into just what it needs to be for her sisters to someday live there and for the West to thrive and be its best.  Like, she’s gonna live out the rest of her life here (or so she thought), she’s gonna make sure this place and these ppl are happy and the best they can be bc that’s how she rolls!  

So I def think she was probs super receptive to the Wystans reaching out (and probs adored Amia!! and honestly probs was like ‘as a married woman i’ll give you some advice...donT marry normand’ ;DDD) but I do think she would’ve seen through Melisenda pr quickly, since she’s from the East and she’s been to court etc and therefore she grew up around much more accomplished schemers than Melisenda.  I also think she was def aware of the corruption in the east, atp, bc I think she sort of grew up suspecting and then, if she needed any more confirmation, I’m sure her relationship w Alaric provided it, so yeah!  Plus, bc of that relationship, Isabella, herself, had done some sneaking around so she knows it when she sees it ;DD jk jk

I do think Isabella was quite zealous in protecting her reputation bc she knows that’s paramount to a lady, esp one whose husband’s rep is in tatters, and bc its a believable rumor since, quite obv, Isabella didn’t love Quincy and had, in fact, at one time had a secret courtship sooo hahaha ++ I feel like Quincy was a jealous husband and she didn’t esp want him angry *thumbs up*  I think she absolutely quashed those rumors the instant she heard of them and rooted out the source and went to Melisenda and was like ‘i know the queen personally.  how pleased do you think she would be to hear that the sister of a traitorous dragonrider was inventing slanders against her own friends and nobles?’ bc apparently Isabella has zero chill, I’m learning, when ppl try to hurt her or her family.  Isabella, probably: ‘be glad: i didn’t set ~you on fire’ ;D

So Isabella is basically Guy’s age.  Potentially, she could’ve been friends with Guy and/or his wife before she left to marry the Count of Devereux.  Which is a bit awk bc now she’s coming back a widow and he’s a widower so in ~theory they’re going through the same thing, except that he’s genuinely grieving and Isabella...Well, Isabella actually tucked her drunk, abusive husband into bed one night, dismissed the servants, and set their home on fire with him in it soooooo it’s not ~quite the same.  ;DDD  Ofc, she plays it off as a tragedy and an accident but yeah.  Anyway, idk, any thoughts on these two?

So I’m sure Mia would also know Isabella from the west. IDK what she’d think of Isabella tbh?? I mean she would also be kind to her, but I can see where she’d be kinda intimidated by her especially if she was making her expressions that you know she made when she was around her wonderful hubby <3333 I do think she’d feel awful for her, either way, b/c even Mia (who I think likes to see the  best in people) would see that her husband was god awful. 

But I can also see her really liking Isabella and asking her kinds of questions about the east and the city, etc.

But at the same time, I can see her giving Mia helpful advice like, “Never trust a man.” #thanksisabella  Tbh that’s her meaning the best but like the only men in her life are her father who essentially sold her to the highest bidder, her uncle who had 355673453 daughters and still thought Jon Valles was the better option, Arthur, her husband, and Renfy so???????  Though, when the men were away, I think Isabella’d be in better spirits and treat Mia I think, in those rare moments, treat Mia with actual kindness.  I mean, she’s still kind of closed off, but yknow.  She tries...sometimes... ;DDDD

I also think Isabella felt so trapped etc atp she was probs really happy to have someone who wanted to talk about the east and so I’m sure she def told her all sorts of things and tbh probs told her some pr scandalous things too #yolo or just whatever came up.  Isabella doesn’t try to sugarcoat things.

But okay, so I think that it would be interesting if these two knew each other and maybe Renfry and her hubby were tight (Renfy: I love you as much as anyone like me can love anyone, bro) But NO, I do think that he would eventually get bored w/ him tbh. ALSO, I forgot that Renfry was gonna be kinda into Isabella so that probs started when she was with Quincy and half the reason Renfry hung around as much as he did.

I feel like he’d see Isabella as someone who has spark, but she’d still be a dutiful wife (HA HAHA HAHAHAHAHA) and she’s a widow so she has ~experience, but she’s still young unlike SOMEonE (Renfry wins for best husband. Altho tbh, Isabella isn’t winning any awards for best wife either ;DDD) IDk how long his interest is gonna last b/c he’s pretty fickle and he also likes what he can’t have tbh so it might die away (luckily for Isabella) if/when Lavina dies, but until then fun times and idek their conversations man, especially b/c the intense eye rolls Isabella will give while talking about him GIVE ME LIFE.
