Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear that the two of you, on some level belong together. As lovers, or as friends, or as family, or as something entirely different. You just work, whether you understand one another or you’re in love or you’re partners in crime. You meet these people throughout your life, out of nowhere, under the strangest circumstances, and they help you feel alive. I don’t know if that makes me believe in coincidence, or fate, or sheer blind luck, but it definitely makes me believe in something.

Mornings in LB are a bit cold and sunshine-ny but afternoons are dark and gloomy. The shift is surprising and almost unbelievable, but He is a God of wonders after all.
Anyway, it was one tuesday morning when me and my super classmate ( that's what we call someone who almost has the same schedule as we do) decided to take outfit shots. We had 2 hours to kill before our next class so we thought that the best way to spend our time was to work on our next blog posts (yes,my super classmate blogs too!! )

I'm living on 5 megapixels from now on ...until I muster enough guts to bring my camera to school. It's a bit of hassle for me to bring it everywhere since it's big and heavy; and I just cant leave it at my dorm because i'd be paranoid all day.
{ Found a new chill place one super rainy afternoon!
We went down the basement of the SU building because the first floor was crowded and we cant go out since the rain was powerful enough to flip our umbrellas!
It's so beautiful!! I felt like I was taken back to the 60's! So so so lovely }
Week 2 had been great! I made new and interesting friends. Everyone is so friendly and nice. They make you feel like you've known them since forever. It's obviously a lot better than the first week.
How about you? How's your week so far?
(no you cant have some)
{June 7, 2013}
I had a random 7/11 brunch date with my mom, grandma and baby sister
-----------------------------
Then later that afternoon I decided to go to UST and visit a few of my thomasino friends before we all dive in our books. I met up with patty lyka and trisha!
After watching a few of my friends walk down the arch, me and patty went back to her house to have our usual chill. My mom then fetched me because we'll eat out to celebrate my Dad's birthday (which is already days late! meh better late than never!)
The day turned out to be great! It was my last kick just before college officially starts for me! It was awesome.
Summer 2k13 ends here
I haven’t been the best kind of blogger lately, so forgive me. This Is a long overdue post ( Almost two weeks old!)
-----------------------------
My initial plan for the day was to visit St scho and go around Marikina...but everything didn't go too well (1. We werent allowed to go inside the campus 2. All my friends are gone to their schools and going around a city is more fun with some company)
---------------------
I guess it was more on my desire for adventure rather than impulsiveness that lead me to visit my friends over at Taft. Taft life is tough! Yeah I dont study there but I speak from experience! I swam my way in a jam packed train, it was a hassle to say the least.
After the very jungle-ish lrt ride, the day went a bit smooth for me! I got to meet up with a few of my La sallian friends and even got to chat with Jeline of sartorialust.
It was quite a day!
When I was packing my bags, I was already having my second thoughts about leaving. Suddenly, I wasn’t sure if I could survive living alone, more so- I wasn’t sure if I’m UP-worthy.
The first few days were dragging. I'd casually spend a good hour staring at the wall and just waiting for time to pass. During those silent moments, when do nothing; I over think. I guess it's also during those instances that I realized how homesick I felt. It was so horrible, I could almost touch it.
I made new good friends, yes
Los Banos is really great, yes
My bestfriend is with me, yes
But home feels home and this feels foreign
I’m going to be honest here, there are times when I’m on the verge of crying but when that happens, I give myself a re-briefing on how strong I’ve become and how brave I must be in order to survive and that I can’t let fear hinder me from my dreams.
------------------------
So first week? It's been scary fun and exciting and i'm pretty sure there's a whole lot more to look forward to. Cheers to freedom and a taste of independence! Can't wait to fill this blog with fun new adventures.
Oh yea, how's school for most of you?
I’ve been running Style stampede for quite some time now and some of you have been wondering why I used something that has a ring of fashion when my blog was never really focused on that all throughout; well, this is where I’ll explain it all.
------------------------------------
A blogger’s first big dilemma would be his/ her URL and Blog title; since those very few words would be an overview on what readers will expect from this/her blog.
I’ve spent some good amount of time wandering around my train of thoughts- coming up with the best possible title for my blog. After producing more or less 10 papers filled with ideas, I’ve ended up with “Style Stampede”.
My main reason for choosing that was influenced by my “fashion blogger” dreams. As I journeyed on blogging, this dream later blurred because I discovered different fields of art of which I found myself passionate about. However, there was this phase when my blog was all about my (amateur) photography work. During that phase. I received feedbacks on how insignificant my blog’s content is to its supposed title. I don’t know... but changing my blog title then just didn’t feel right. I take comfort in the fact that as I keep my blog title, I am still pursuing my small silly dream- my first reason for blogging.
Fast forward to today, Style stampede gained a whole new meaning for me; since throughout my blogging journey, I got to see things in different perspectives. “Style” doesn’t necessarily relate to fashion anymore. It could be different things at once. It could talk about a photographer’s style in taking photos or an artist’s style in making art. Well really, I don’t know why in my head, “style” was boxed among clothes, shoes and a few other fashion related things.
Right now, I view the word “style” in my blog title as a reference to the word “lifestyle” since I may have mentioned a lot of times before that “I blog to remember”. I blog about the way I live my life, the random events that occurred in between and whatever thought my mind fancies to share.
Right now, my blog is 50-50 it’s partly fashion, partly random. And I like it that way.
BLOGGERS UNITED 5

I think it's safe to say that i'm one of those people who supported BU (in my own way) since day 1. I think the only time I failed to attend BU was on the third installment since I had my dental check-up scheduled that day. Believe me I did everything I can to force convince my parents to pass by on our way home but nooo.
BU expanded and became a whole lot bigger since its first shot. Back then, their location was only a small function room (im not really sure what's it called) in a hotel near megamall. To be completely honest, the only bloggers who I knew then was Tricia g and Camille co since they used tumblr as their platform and the crowd of readers who attended was not as big as today (on BU5) , you can actually get to chat with the bloggers yourself without a mob of fans waiting in line for a picture. Bloggers united 1 actually inspired me to start my own blog. I guess attending and supporting BU is my way of showing how grateful I am to them for isabelspeaks.tumblr.com might not have existed if it weren't for them.
-------------
I think I witnessed a story of success. A small idea fueled with great passion gone big! Enough proof that anything is possible- with a hard work and love for what you're doing. Kudos BU team! Looking forward to BU6!

I wanted these earphones so bad but I didn't want to spend all my cash since I thought I would just ride a cab home...but then my mom called and told me that my dad will be at MOA for some reason so... (regrets)
And of course I had my awesome set of friends with me to make the day 1000x more fun!!
