fun story! Last year in one of my English classes, we were separated into four groups to read different novels and make presentations on them. "Garden of Eden," "Tender is the Night," "Save Me the Waltz," and "Their Eyes Were Watching God."

3/4 novels were described as, and I'm barely paraphrasing, "men being insane and misogynistic and cheating on their wives." every one of us had things to say about Fitgerald and Hemingway. If those two were my contemporaries, you would not catch me reading their books cause 🤨🤨 currently working through "A Moveable Feast" and some paragraphs make my eyebrows damn near dissappear into my hairline.

whew my rabbi and I discussed my conversion and she said that im on the right path, going at a good pace, but she's waiting til my life calms down a bit before mikvah and I can't even argue! was thinking the same thing! my life for the next two months is moving. BIL wedding out of state. fall quarter starts. im booked.

im gonna be so fr. I go to an egalitarian shul. my rabbi is a woman who wears trousers. modesty for women in my community does not mean wearing only skirts. I only wear skirts in public because when I was 19 i wore a pair of purple corduroys to work and a 35 year old customer wrote me a poem about how great my ass looked 😭😭 you only have to experience that shit once

both of my cats have heart murmurs. whaddahell. first one is harmless but second is literally a level FOUR out of SIX. the shelter i adopted him from said they suspected a heart condition but tests were negative 😭😭 my poor sweet boys
