SOVA HEADCANONS

Sova doesn't like his double. To him, the double reflects every flaw he has tried to hide. Facing him is like being forced to face them all at the same time. 

He went through periods of time he was afraid of seeing his double in battle.

Sova took a long time to think of the owl drone design. He remade the concept a lot of times before turning it into the final work.

After he finished making his equipment, he was thrilled to try his new arrows. The feeling was similar to meeting someone new.

Sova went back to studying mathematics after he accidentally hit himself with a shock dart for the first time.

He still remembers it like it was the first time. Lazily throwing a shock dart only to be filled with absolute despair when the arrow bounced back and flew towards him. Not to mention the pain of being hit. Ooh the horrors...

Sova has used his bow as a melee weapon more than once.

Sova is always informed about most things that happen. Every detail is valuable for gathering important information. (He does it in an ethical way, though.) 

The team trusts him to pilot. He's really good.

Sova taught Clove some tips that he had to learn by himself in the battlefield (when they were getting trained by Sova).

Sova loves cold showers. When he's in a place with warm temperatures, he will definitely be using cold water. 

He likes watching documentaries and mystery themed tv shows.

After finishing watching a movie, Sova thinks about it for a long period of time. He writes his opinion on a notebook if he ends up liking (or hating) it. 

Sova used to enjoy shadow puppet theater when he was a kid/teen.

He started playing chess because he's interested in games you can spend a good amount of time thinking. It is like disconnecting from real life problems for a moment.

Babushka has a habit of walking with her hands behind her back. Once Sova caught himself doing the same thing. 

He snores really loud after drinking (alcohol) lol.

Every year he gets at least two owl-related gifts from his friends. They know he likes them. 

Sova started photography as a hobby. He observes the wildlife and uses pictures as a way of immortalizing the moment. 

Would choose firm pillows over soft ones anyday. 

Once he tried to sew two blankets together to make one thick blanket, but it ended up uneven. Instead of throwing it away, it became his comfort blanket. 

I hope this was a good amount of headcanons! Also, I tried splitting the headcanons in "related to the protocol" and "not related", idk if it makes sense or not.

oh, the new cinematic gives so much to think about!

"sova, i spared you when we first met. i can't let you go again." so, judging by this line, it should be their first meeting? alpha sova doesn't take revenge on omega sova in this scene, it's his so-called "mercy". he lost his eye in a different way and for some reason he lies to his comrades about this incident

mercy in his understanding, of course, looks very... interesting. the fact that he destroyed an entire squad single-handedly and deliberately harmed his double... that is a pretty unexpected view of him as a character

i wonder, what was the reason for this fight. since this is omega sova's point of view, he seems to be the victim. but knowing that it's the omega earth who attacked first, that they are the instigators of this conflict, could it be that alpha sova was just defending himself? there was a whole group of soldiers for a reason and it's unlikely that was people of a!sova. hm, if it weren't for the eye scene, it would be easy to assume so. but we shouldn't forget about another line - "don't be afraid, i've gone through rifts before." this could be happening on omega earth, this attack could have been provoked by a!sova. unfortunately, we can only speculate on this topic

the most important question is why on earth did he gouge out omega sova's eye? what was his motivation, the reasons for this decision? was it a desire to equate his mirror with himself? or was it some kind of punishment? just look at him, at that smile, he feels delight, pride in his work (hey, sasha, your babushka told you not to brag...)

sova can be a violent person, do not be fooled by his "guys, i love you all so much" lines, he's not afraid of blood on his hands and he states this directly. but he has never been cruel on purpose before, he harms only when the situation demands it, only when it's necessary. he doesn't kill the way reyna kills and he doesn't feel satisfied by murder like she does

or does he? he is a hunter, after all. he kills animals. for food, for fun, for excitement, for whatever reason. "this bow has taken man and beast alike. i found there is little difference." is it possible that it really makes no difference to him who he hunts? could it be that his double was his target this time?

"your justice frightens me, viper. is there no other way to find peace?" one of his phrases to viper. either sova is suddenly very two-faced (i can believe in his hypocrisy, but sova is still a man of principles and it is unlikely that he's written as a character who has created a completely false image for himself) or, according to him, his actions are nothing compared to viper's

in any case, as i said, i don't think this scene is alpha sova's revenge or a search for justice. otherwise, omega sova's shot loses its power at the end. it's "an eye for an eye", not "an eye for an eye for an eye", haha (tho the circle of revenge is definitely a good addition to his story. just not specifically in this cinematic). the desire for revenge must be pure, it is o!sova's reason to fight. if he was the one who took alpha sova's eye, then he is to blame for losing his own and then his revenge takes on a different nature, reducing its intensity and tension. although, what curious is that this can bring us back to the topic of hypocrisy, only now from the perspective of omega sova

I haven’t had that big crush on anime man for a long time, Higuruma makes me alive and feel better. So I wanna drop some headcanons about him and yes, eng isn’t my first language, but I do my best.

🌻Most people headcanoning him as a coffee person, but I think he drinks everything which makes him awake during a hard days. He perfectly knows that tea has caffeine too, so he wouldn’t mind to drink strong black tea instead of coffee

🌻He doesn’t like sweets at all, but when he was a student, he could drink tea or coffee with five spoons of sugar before exams. Just drank it with wincing, hating the taste but still use it as an energetic (because real energy drinks are disgusting for his taste)

🌻He can fool you with his all calm and nonchalant attitude, but inside his head he always has debates with potential opponents. His mind is full of situations, cases, he can’t stop thinking about job sometimes, and felt okay about it until his mid thirties, when he had his first panic attack. After that he makes an effort to stop this flow of thoughts in his head

🌻But what is really cool that all his thoughts are structured and disciplined. He doesn’t wind himself up as an anxious person, just thinks hard about his work, and the problem is to stop this inside monologue/dialogue

🌻After work he has an hour of blunt staring at the wall with head empty

🌻You can rage bait him easily, but he doesn’t even flinch, staying calm outside. Inside his head he already destroyed you with fire, I’m not kidding

🌻He has big Scorpio, Taurus or Capricorn energy

🌻His parents weren’t too strict with him. Both worked hard, and most of the time Higuruma was left to himself

🌻But even with hardworking parents he learned from them how healthy relationships looks like when you loyal to your family. I prefer to think that his parents supported each other as a good friends, and showed their attention through actions

🌻He has a high level of pain tolerance, and sometimes Higuruma doesn’t understand why the blood dots covers his sleeve (he cut his finger and didn’t even notice it)

🌻He is a cat magnet, and it’s not a joke. Dogs are ignoring him for no reason, but cats stand him out from the crowd and ask for pats. Even in his cases cats occur somehow. When cats meet him on his way to work, he works all day with his pants in a cat’s fur

🌻He smells like tobacco, black pepper, sweat and dust

🌻Higuruma isn’t poor, but not rich either. He has a small apartment, where he sleeps and spends free time. But he lives modestly

🌻Over time he found the middle ground of clean and true chaos, so his space isn’t that bad as usual bachelor-like home

🌻 Kamus is his favourite author and he secretly prefers Europe literature, but tells it only to loved ones

🌻Hiromi doesn’t define himself as a brilliant and etc.. He prefers to think that he is smart, but not enough to be a genius. Actually he prefers to be an uneducated in other spheres. He loves a feeling of newness knowledge, and tries to dose new information if it’s not important for his life

🌻He doesn’t like jazz (oh no) and finds trumpets annoying. His favourite genre is psychedelic rock, he likes Pink Floyd (sorry, but I don’t know Japanese bands for examples)

That’s all what I want for now, but I think about him a lot, so maybe part two is coming, who knows.
