If you follow my main AA blog, you’ll know I plan on leaving my account.
That does not mean all of my blogs have to perish, though. Would anyone be interested in taking over this blog? Honestly, all I was doing was following the DGS tag and queue up the posts…
Don’t let the spirit of localisation die, for I have failed you my faithful followers.

Quick scribble of Susato because I FINALLY UNDERSTAND HOW HER HAIR WORKS
I stared at this for a long time but i stil don’t understand… ;_;
Just follow the arrows. She takes pieces of her hair and folds them into a loop that goes back into the knot behind her head. The ornament on top acts as the hairband.
Quite stylish, this one. (It would be a little improper for a lady of her time to lick a lollipop in such a fashion, but hey, I’m not complaining.)
I identify 3 part of her hair:
1) front bangs indicated by blue arrow, (which would cover her forehead if let loose) 2) long side bangs(?) indicated by red arrows (which would look like maya’s, which were held by beads) 3) back hair indicated by yellow arrow
My issues;
i. I didn’t know 1 was long enough to be held in place at the back of the head with that ornament.
ii. I’m ok with blue, red and yellow parts tied at the back, but what’s up with that green part?? It looks so random
i. Ah, lemme explain that better. The ornament is just an accessory she adds. Her hair is actually being held up by several hairbands, shown in the lower pictures, and her front bangs are being pulled all the way back.
ii. Green is overlay with red so her loops are thicker. I figure those front side bangs would be too thin by themselves.
If I recall, Nuri mentioned in the artbook about how they experimented with a mix of classic and more modern flair. Those loops give the style a little quirkiness to complement.
I attempted to do this irl, and based off of that and the diagram, this is how I assume it would work:
So at step 3, she pulls a strand of hair from the back up front, and that’s the green loop.
I also recall that the hairstyle was “somewhat believable, but ultimately impossible, hairstyle,” so if you were making a wig, you would probably glue hair extensions on for the loops. Then again, it’s also anime hair, so anti gravity and maximum floofiness and all.
