Bonding time with Daddy
“Alright! It looks like your arm was recently fixed though, do you know who fixed you? Does it feel ok? I can take a look if you want me too.”
Spinister glanced over the others frame, physically he looked ok, still it wuld be best if he ran a scan. Reaching into his subspace, the surgeon pulled out a beaten scanner. It was old and beaten, but it had served him well. Most of Spinisters tools were like this.
“This won’t hurt. Ok?”
Deathsaurus paused for a moment at the question, but responed honestly. “YOU DID. RECENTLY. AND IT FEELS FINE, BETTER THAN IT HAS IN A LONG TIME.” That much was true. The surgeon did excellent work.
He watched as Spinister pulls an old scanner out of his subspace. Deathsaurus wasn’t sure he’d ever had a scanner used on him before, he usually used more… archaic methods of detecting any injuries and flaws. He tensed for just a moment, until Spinister told him it won’t hurt. He took the surgeon at his word, and tried to relax, allowing the other to get to work.
The scan came back clear, the other large Destron was fine. Although Spinister didn’t remember giving him any repairs, “You sure I did? I don’t remember.”
Maybe Daddy was having memory problems, or was he the one with the memory problem? Why did he have a memory problem? The helicopter growled in frustration and confusion.

This med bay looked great, alright he might need to ask for a few new things but it was a functioning med bay. “Take a seat on the berth, I don’t need tools yet.”
Spinister had number of medical tools in his subspace anyway. “Anywhere you want me to check first?”
Deathsaurus followed Spinisters instructions and seated himself onto the largest of the medical berths, the only one that could really hold his size. It had been some time since Deathsaurus had had regular check ups from a medic, and he wasn’t sure if he had anything needing checking.
“NO, YOU CAN JUST BEGIN WHEREVER YOU LIKE,” he said. Spinister had done competent work with Deathsaurus’s arm, so being checked over by him would be nice.

There was another series of happy ‘hoots’ as Spinister was being carried to his med bay. Nuzzling into Daddys chest, the surgeon couldn’t wait. His parents were so nice, they took care of him and didn’t treat him like he was an idiot.
“Do you need a check-up, Daddy?”
“MMM, I DON”T BELIEVE SO. BUT IF YOU’D LIKE TO PREFORM ONE ANYWAY, YOU MAY,” he said. Spinister had repaired small problems in his arm recently, and as far as Deathsaurus knew, he had no other issues at the moment, but it would give the surgeon something to do to take his mind off his depression.
He strode down the hallway, in long steps, and soon they were at the medbay. He opened the door, to find Spinister had indeed gone in and rearranged things and fixed it up some. It was beginning to look less like a medievel torture dungeon and more like a proper medbay… or at least what passed for a proper medbay for Destrons.
“HERE WE ARE,” he said to Spinister, moving to put him down on the floor, so he could roam around the medbay and gather any tools he needed.

“Really? It’s mine?” Face now pushed against the others beak, the small mech made a whoop of joy, hugging his Daddys face. “Thank you, Daddy! Does that mean I’m the CMO? You’re the best Daddy!”
Spinister was overjoyed with the news, so overjoyed he didn’t answer the question. Nuzzling the others beak, he made a low ‘hoot hoot’.
By this point, Spinister was well into Deathsaurus’s personal space, but he couldn’t quite bring himself to get angry with the other. The helicopter had had a rough last few days, and Deathsaurus figured he’d cut him a little slack.
“ALL YOURS,” he responded. “AND IT APPEARS YOU ARE.” He smiles at Spinister nuzzling his beak, something Esmeral tended to do as well. The comparison went a step further, when Spinister began to make soft hooting noises, similar to Deathsaurus’s wife.
With that, he moves from his room and begins to walk towards the medbay.

“Med bay?” Spinister didn’t remember anything about a med bay. “What med bay?” What could Daddy mean..unless..”I get my own med bay?” Optics wide and hopeful, the surgeon was almost pushed against the others face. His own med bay and by the sounds of it, it was all shiny and new.
Spinister bad mood quickly faded.
“THE ONE…” he trails off, remembering Spinister had few memories now, at least of these recent few days. “I’LL SHOW YOU. WOULD YOU LIKE TO WALK, OR BE CARRIED?” Strangely enough, he kind of liked carrying the small mech, even if he was in his face right now.
It was rather… cute.
“YES. IT’S THE SHIPS MEDBAY, BUT SINCE YOU ARE OUR TOP SURGEON, IT’S YOURS.” In truth, the mech was their only surgeon. True, Deathsaurus, Drillhorn, Deathcobra and a few others knew basic battlefield techniques for healing wounds, but most was carried out by drones, not by an actual fully fledged medic.

“NO, NO TROUBLE. JUST DON’T DO IT AGAIN. I’VE SEEN TERRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN TO MECHS NOT USED TO MY MOONSHINE.” Deathsaurus couldn’t help but smirk at the memory of the time Star Saber went blind for a month.
“IT WAS NO PROBLEM,” Deathsaurus said in response to taking care of Spinister. Honestly, he was a bit used to it with some of his troops. And, in a weird way, he kind of liked it.
“WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO ANYTHING? TRY TO FIND ESMERAL MAYBE? OR SHOW ME THE MEDBAY? YOU TOLD ME YOU FIXED IT UP.” Deathsaurus was actually curious to see what Spinister had done.

Bonding time with Daddy
Deathsaurus had been snoring, dreaming about the bird-dragons back home in the Death Zone, soaring in the sky, trilling loudly. In the dream, he was flying along side them, much like he had done in his younger days. He heard a voice cut into his dream, someone calling him “Daddy” and, with a snort, he awoke.
He opened his eyes, finding the ceiling to his bedroom above his head. He could feel the soft bed beneath him, and a small, unfamiliar shape on top of his chest. He groggily remembered Spinister was with him, the other having gotten so drunk Deathsaurus had brought him back here in hopes of sobering him up. It had not much worked - instead Deathsaurus and Spinister had simply fallen asleep.
He looked down at Spinister and gave the other a small, warm smile, something he rarely did with anyone else. “DO YOU FEEL BETTER?” he inquired, wondering how much Spinister remembered from earlier.
“I’m ok. Think I’m forgetting some stuff.”
Spinister frowned, did he spend the night asleep on top of his Daddy? It was nice of the larger mech to let him, not that he had anywhere to sleep, or did he? Wait, where was he?
“Daddy, where are we? Where is everyone? Why do I have a headache?”
Surprisingly the surgeon only had a mild hangover.
Deathsaurus decided to answer Spinisters questions first. “YOU ARE ONBOARD MY SHIP, THE THUNDER ARROW. YOU HAVE A HEADACHE BECAUSE YOU GOT INTO SOME OF MY MOONSHINE, WHICH WAS A BAD IDEA. BE GLAD IT ISN’T WORSE THAN IT IS.”
At the question of ‘where is everyone’ Deathsaurus hesitated for a moment. The ship had been relatively quiet lately, most of them taking a breather from constant battle. So far Spinister had only met Esmeral.
“MY WIFE, ESMERAL IS HERE. A FEW OF MY TROOPS ARE TOO.” He looks at the smaller mech before he continues. “BUT YOU AREN’T TALKING ABOUT MY TROOPS, ARE YOU? YOU MEAN WHERE ARE YOUR FRIENDS.”
The surgeon frowned, it looked like that ‘moonshine’, whatever it was, had done something to his memory. It’s ok, he would figure something out.
“Thanks for taking care of me Daddy. Am I in trouble for drinking that stuff?”
Bonding time with Daddy
Spinister was confused, well more confused than normal. Where was he? Was he laying on top of someone? Why did he feel like he was forgetting a lot of things?
Groaning lowly, the Decepticon opened his optics and found himself staring at Deathsaurus. “Daddy?” Spinister only grew more confused, he couldn’t remember a thing. Did Daddy remember what happened? Whose room was this?
“Did something happen, Daddy?”
The surgeon looked lost in the large room.

Deathsaurus actually cracked a small smile at Spinister making a hooting sound and cuddling his chest, and he watched the other drift into recharge. He figured he may as well lay back as well, and maneuvered himself onto the bed, spreading out his wings and laying down, Spinister still against his chest.
He never much asked the other about his past, where he came from, his friends, if he had any. He wondered if Spinister remembered them at this point, or if they had been wiped out of his mind as well. He would try to ask the other once he was sober. Maybe, in some small way, Deathsaurus could try and help him.

“YES SHE DID.” When he saw Spinister look miserable again, Deathsaurus let out a small sigh. He reached over with a large hand, and patted the small mech gently on the back.
“IT’S ALRIGHT. WE CAN WORRY ABOUT THAT STUFF LATER. JUST TRY TO GET SOME REST NOW.”
Spinister didn’t move, he was annoyed, why was everything so difficult to remember? Spinister felt like he was forgetting really important stuff, the more he tried to remember the more miserable he looked.
As pleasant as recharge would be right now, the small mech felt too drained to even do that. Maybe Daddy could help?
“Daddy..Help me sleep?”
Lifting his helm, Spinister looked at his father with the most depressing look a mech with a face mask could muster.
Deathsaurus looked back at the depressed mech, and for a moment wondered what he could do to help him sleep. Deathsaurus had very little trouble sleeping. He often slept on his throne, in his bed, even standing and it usually wasn’t long before he was snoring. He remembered that some mechs liked to actually be held or rocked to sleep, a sort of thing he sometimes did with his Breastanimals.
“…ALRIGHT,” he said, hold out his hands, and picking Spinister up. It was easy to do, and with his huge size, he simply took the mech into his arms and put him close to his chest. He starts to move the mech with surprising gentleness, hoping it will help ease him into recharge.
Spinister was confused by the sudden change of scenery, he didn’t remember moving. Thankfully it didn’t take long for the surgeon to recognise his Daddy, it could have ended badly if Spinister thought Deathsaurus was a threat, drunk or not, he would have attacked.
The Decepticon was comfortable as he nuzzled against his Daddys chest, making a low hooting noise as he was soothed to sleep in the others arms.
Bonding time with Daddy
“GOOD. DO YOU REMEMBER MOMMY?” He looked at the confused small mech, a small expression of actual sympathy on his face. He decides to try another approach.
“WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER?”
“Mommy?” Spinister frowned for a moment, Mommy…Oh! She taught him how to make owl noises! He remembered Mommy!
“I know Mommy! She told me owl things!”
Spinister was pleased with himself, he could remember Mommy and Daddy and—well..
The surgeon could remember stuff, some stuff just not in any kind of order. It didn’t take long for him to look miserable again.

Deathsaurus watched as the smaller mech took a swallow of the Energon and he sat down on the bed beside him, hoping it would make him look less intimidating.
When he noticed the other staring at the cube, he tried to speak to him. “SPINISTER? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?”
The surgeon was pulled from his thoughts as he looked up at Deathsaursus, when did he move? Or did Spinister move? Ow he had a headache, one hand reaching for his helm , the small mech rubbed his helm.
“My processor hurts…And I can’t remember the thing.”
Maybe it was time he lay down. But..Where was everyone? This wasn’t the camp site.
Deathsaurus furrowed a brow ridge for a moment, and looked at the other.
“NEXT TIME TRY NOT TO DRINK SO MUCH.” At the others comment he thought to himself Oh great, looks like he’s got a side-effect to the moonshine. “SPINISTER… DO YOU REMEMBER ME?” he asks, looking at the other mech.
“Yeah, your Daddy.”
But where was Krok and Misfire, and the other guys. When did Daddy get here? Where was here anyway? Spinister got the feeling he was forgetting something.
Frowning, the surgeon looked down, maybe he should do that thing with the gun to his sore processor.
No. Bad idea. He needed that.
