dakotaxpike:
“Lovely, yeah.” Dakota nodded, smiling at Isla before she glanced back to check on where the kids were playing.
She smiled at her before looking around, “ I’m glad we’re actually getting good days like this.”
freya-powell:
“Yeah, it’s surprisingly lovely out.”
“I’m pretty sure we’ll see less days like this now that it’s getting colder.”
"It’s a beautiful day isn’t it?” She said out loud randomly. @secretsummerstarters
Name: Isla Mitchell Age: 26 Sexuality: Heterosexual Gender: Female Portrayed By: Dianna Agron Availability: Closed
“It’s terrifying… people just keep dying.”
→ Background
Isla was born and raised in Baberton and she had a nice enough life. Normal. She wasn’t overly popular but she did grow up next door to Abigail Tate and as a result of that and their close age, the two became very close. Even when they got older and Abi got more popular and spent more time with her other group of friends, the two girls would still come together and gossip and have sleepovers and were always like sisters to each other. Isla knew about how difficult Abi’s dad was due to living next door to the family and it was pretty horrible to witness and she wished she could help her friend. Abi stayed over at her house quite regularly.
Isla met Jesse Hartford through Abi’s brother Jonas, who was his best friend. She fell pretty fast and hard for the guy, thinking he was hot and cool and smart… the whole package. She was the type to fall for people very easily and she was really hurt when he went off to London to study and then broke up with her… in a text message. She was heartbroken and very hurt. Isla was ready to stick out the long distance relationship until he came home or she could move to London and be with him… but he ruined that and Isla has been bitter about it ever since.
→ Back to Baberton
The past few years, Baberton has been a pretty terrifying place. Since Annie Pierce went missing and then turned up dead, Isla’s hometown has become something of a living nightmare. It’s like they’ve become the set of a slasher movie or something and it’s pretty terrifying to know a serial killer is prowling around and anyone could be next. Isla works herself up about it a lot and gets scared… but everyone does, right?
Abi skipped town a while back, after a relationship fell apart, and Isla didn’t hear about her for a couple of years. It was pretty lonely without her because Isla didn’t have too many other friends than Abigail. She drifted through the days and the town, working as a primary school art teacher, something she really enjoyed. She loved the kids and it was pretty easy and fun for her. Isla was happy when Abigail came back to town recently and she’s glad that she has her friend back but she’s very interested to know why Abi left in the first place because it was all very strange. She just wants things to go back to how they used to be, in her friendship and the town, but Isla also wants to build her confidence and put herself out there a little more, make some more friends and maybe find a new relationship because she’s quite lonely.
→ What’s Her Secret?
Suffers from extreme generalised and death anxiety. The way the town is causes Isla to be unable to shake the thought and the anxiety and the image of death. She’s terrified that she’s going to die, or her friends and family are going to die, and she feels sick to her stomach most days. She won’t take shortcuts or go outside after dark. She won’t go anywhere a body has been found, especially the woods. Isla can’t cope with her anxiety but she just thinks that everybody feels this way and so she doesn’t reach out for help and doesn’t realise her anxiety is bigger than the norm.
