Don't give up.

The fact that life is not always good to you does not mean you should give up on it. It is your life; you take control of where it is heading. It is your mind and your heart, you control how one thinks and how the other feels. Nobody can oppress either, unless you allow for them to do so.

You could be living in the worst of circumstances, but your mind could be a free bird. It could be one that is living in the happiest of worlds, because you know that your circumstances do not define how you think about yourself or the plans you want to achieve. Circumstances do not define if something is possible or impossible. They simply serve to remind you that you need to work harder, so that you can achieve and appreciate. Your heart should never feel limited by its surroundings, nor should you ever feel a certain way about yourself because of those that are around you.

Don’t give up just yet. There is good to come, even if it has yet to unravel. There are pleasant moments that you have not experienced, because they come after the storm is over. It might be a long storm, but even that has to end. Nothing is permanent, nor is anything worth sacrificing your happiness and self-satisfaction for.

There is good in falling. It teaches you to look up, stand up, and move forward. You might want to drop everything because you are tired, but you will feel the relief one day. When you feel it, you will understand why you persevered. You will understand that by not giving up, you earned so much good along the road. The path might not always be clear, and the skies might sometimes be gray, but if you keep looking forward, you will spot the light of contentment heading your way. Don’t give up.
