              lips press together as she listens, trying to remember if the name had been heard before. when it came time to introduce herself, the girl can’t help but notice the ways that differed in how to introduce oneself between genders. for him, a title. for her, an explanation of men in her life. head is bowed and body lowered into a curtsy, well aware of the way to address nobles such as herself. “ i am lady elizabeth, sir. daughter of marquess midford, the head of the british knights, and fiancee to earl phantomhive. ” both are well-known names, a show of her stature and pedigree. “ it is a pleasure to meet you. ”

          The old thing’s smile deepened as she spoke, stare narrowing thoughtfully. With each name she spoke, he grew more aware of just whom he had stumbled into ; these were indeed FORMIDABLE persons she referred to. ( & persons that the Emperor’s servant much needed to make the acquaintance of if he was to accomplish his goals in the Queen’s land. )           ❛ If I may be so forward         ❜ the Prussian begins, head canting with an air of practiced hesitance. Despite von Kämpfer’s thick accent, his English is surprisingly fluid.           ❛ I am hosting a dinner party to - morrow as a means to greet more of London’s finest. FUN BOOK TIDBITS INCLUDING / ABOUT ISAAK. ( + a few notes involved therein. )

He often refers to “ the Orden & I ” doing this or that as opposed to just Rosenkreuz itself. It would seem that he does have a hand in everything that it does & feels as though it is truly an extension of himself.

Yoshida consistently remarks on the length of Isaak’s hair ( to the hip ) when introducing him. Intelligence is one of the most - seen descriptors relating to the character as is frequent use of calling him a shadow. 

Isaak’s full title : “ Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer. Rosenkreuz Orden 9-2 Magus, title ‘ Panzer Mager ’ , which means ‘ wizard of machines ’.” [ RAM II ] 

Examples of his power : using summoning spells to conjure fireballs ; fire ; mist ; electro - magnetic shields ; ‘ magical ’ weapons. He is also a proven shapeshifter & withstood several attacks from Abel at 40% of the Crusnik’s potential power with minimal injury. It is safe to assume that he has some ability to manipulate life, having created massive monsters & demonic creatures with artificial being & surprising intellect.

von Kämpfer’s arms wrap around her in answer. He falls quiet for a moment, amusement bringing a softened smile to usually harsh features. How did it feel ? he wondered. To embrace a form so stiff & cold.           Around the demoness, he entertained no falsities of life ; all guise of color & warmth in his flesh were sapped away & the energy used to maintain them applied elsewhere. Even the feeble pulse used to fool many a questioning mortal was lost in favor of rather HOLLOW silence.          A corpse, the ancient decided as he pulled away with a light, rumbling laugh. Hugging this form was, by his guess, much like giving affection to the dead.           (              though one could argue she was doing just that. )          ❛ Very well. Random plot I've always wanted to explore : Isaak taking part in a planned marriage to keep up appearances at the height of his power only to have the other end up being more than he bargained for. They're more intelligent, perceptive than they ought to be & for the first time he has to watch his step in his own estate.

like as much as i love icons and a good psd, sometimes its just tasking to do. and not everyone has great resources. so if you’re okay with having threads with no icons, please reblog this so that people know you’re okay with it. i feel like roleplayers today are too focused on the aesthetics and won’t follow people who use base icons or even none at all. it’s not about icons, but about the writing !!

Silken black hair escapes the confines of his cloak & falls across a dark, near - unblinking gaze. A well - practiced, CHARMING smile finalizes the Junker’s diplomatic expression.         ❛ Allow me to introduce myself : I am Herr Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer, head of the Prussian Ministry of War’s finances.                Might I ask who I have the pleasure of meeting ? ❜

TOUCH. Isaak lifted his head, curiosity stirred by William’s declaration ; it seemed to have struck a thoughtful chord in the beast. He settled his chin against the other’s chest for a moment, red - flecked eyes fixated on the little he could see of William’s face from this angle.          TOUCH. A hand reached up to trace along his lover’s jaw, claw - like nails pressing lightly into the skin. For von Kämpfer, these small motions perhaps meant the most. The feeling of tearing through flesh had always been a particular favorite of his, but this       the temptation of it, the constant necessity to RESIST breaking open William’s skin       so greatly exceeded that. It was . . . more.           TOUCH. Those fingers recoiled, trailing down to rest on the youthful devil’s shoulder momentarily. In recent weeks, the Magician had taken to curling on top of William when he rested. While von Kämpfer scarce needed to sleep, there was a certain soothing pleasure he took from laying alongside his fellow monster. He could not deny a sense of surreal comfort, as well ; like this, the Prussian was always sure of William’s well - being & forever within reach.          TOUCH. von Kämpfer smiled, expression somewhat marred by the mix of dim light & encroaching night filling the room. His head eventually fell, tucked under William’s own.          ❛ It hardly suits you to be so sentimental, my Mephistopheles, ❜ came the quiet, strangely tender whisper from the gloom.

The creature in questions sweeps its tail away from its snout, head lifting slightly. Slowly, it opens its mouth ; strings of offal & fouled gore between its jagged, discolored teeth tumble from those lengthy jaws into the sluggish darkness pooled at its feet.                                          ❛ I HAD WONDERED. ❜           von Kämpfer’s disembodied voice answers from the space about the beast          as charming & elegant as ever. Hushed chatter, echoing out from the abyss at its back, falls respectfully silent.          ❛ & WHAT GREAT THING WOULD YOU BE IF           THESE CLOUDED EYES COULD SEE CLEARER ? ❜
