One thing you should expect to see on here is me having friendly discussions (arguments) with folk who hate him for random or stupid reasons.

Mr. Ismay wasn't perfect, but he wasn't nearly as bad as some people would like to think

Really historically inaccurate things in Titanic (1997) that pissed me off:

Ismay claiming that he and the White Star Line wanted the Titanic to be known for speed! No! Not true! The White Star Line wanted the Titanic to be known for comfort, luxury and stability, not for speed. In fact, they built liners such as Olympic and Titanic as a direct response to Blue Riband winners such as the Lusitania and the Mauretania that could boast record breaking speed, but lacked the amenities offered on slower luxury ships. And they intentionally advertised enormous luxury ships like Titanic as being slower for an Atlantic crossing, but worth it because of their comfort.
