Bernard Hill as Captain Smith in Titanic 4k
Welcome to the Blog
Hi gang! BT here :D Apparently, contrary to my initial belief, AO3 does not house incorrect quotes, but tumblr sure does, so here I am. I am going to reuse the quotes that I'd already posted on AO3, but there will be new ones as well.
Here's a brief introduction to all of the characters who will appear.

Cops In Action!
Here's a new OC Interaction! Once again with an OC who belongs to the amazing artist @rolkstone! Thank you for this!
Rudd is not exactly the highest cop in Capital City, that would be his best friend and colleage, the Captain Ronald Smith. While they're friends, Smith is one of those cops who are married to the job.
Smith has made his personal mission to destroy Joel and his mafia. He won't rest until Joel is where he belongs, but that's easy to say than doing it. Since Joel is easily the most powerful Mafia Don in the country! Even other mobsters from other countries do not mess with him and the FBI takes him very carefully. But Smith thinks that they don't know nothing. Rudd is usually the one who has to act as his conscience.
Smith as you can see, doesn't have much friends and it's not like he needs them. But it doesn't help he's very politically incorrect. For starters, he's racist. He can say racist slurs time from time, which unfortunately doesn't help in his image with other cops or with civilians. Even Félix and Alfonso (in the times he got to meet him), do not like Smith that much for this same reason. Rudd always has to remind him that racism is bad and that he should measure his words. But Smith never listens.
Smith also is prone to indulge in police brutality, specially when he deals with Joel or his minions, because according to him: "We can do everything to them as long it ends in a proper arrest!". As you can picture, Joel and his minions play the victim card whenever Smith does that, which causes the citizens to shame Smith. His boss has always to call him out on this. The worst is that Joel and his minions know of his short fuse and usually provoke him just for their amusement. Save Joel, who hates him, his minions do this for fun.
In spite this, Rudd and Smith have a mutual respect for each other and Smith actually appreciates having somebody at his side and viceversa.
And well! That would be everything! Smith belongs to @rolkstone! Thank you for creating him! I would love to draw him more often!
Have a wonderful day or night! Depending when you read this!
Bernard Hill is the only actor to have the distinction of appearing in two movies that have won 11 Oscars - Titanic (1997) and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), both of which are special to me and are my absolute favourite movies of all time.
My earliest memory of seeing him is watching Titanic on DVD for the first time when I was 9 years old and immediately feeling at ease whenever I saw this older experienced captain - Bernard Hill’s portrayal of Captain Edward J. Smith really captured how the real life Captain Smith was for the passengers on Titanic: a trustworthy seasoned Captain you could rely on, one who went down with his ship.
I’ve always thought, however, that my favourite moment of his comes from this behind-the-scenes video of Lord of the Rings, where he’s having a laugh throwing fruit into Dominic Monaghan’s mouth as the cast get dressed. I don’t know why I love this clip so much, but it always brings a smile to my face.
Rest in Peace, Theoden King, Captain 💔

Intro
I'm a 90s kid. I remember when the movie came out in '97, what a cultural phenomenon it became. I remember hearing Celine Dion croon "My Heart Will Go On" over the radio everyday. I remember watching it on VHS, HBO, or on TV with my folks when I was older. I remember Kate Winslet was the first naked woman I ever saw, and when I hit puberty, she was my first crush. Since then, I've watched this film every year since I rediscovered it after a bad breakup with my first girlfriend. To this day, 15 years later and married with kids, I have a "Titanic Week" in April, where I'll watch the film and historical documentaries. I even have a Titanic themed tattoo. I love this movie. Now, there's been a few "making-of" books based on this movie but—unbelievably—never a full-on novelization. Using the script and the film, deleted scenes and all, for better or worse, this is my attempt. I hope you enjoy.

In 1996, treasure hunter Brock Lovett searches for the rare diamond "The Heart of the Ocean" inside of the wreck of RMS Titanic, the ill-fated ocean liner that sunk during her maiden voyage in 1912. Instead of finding the Heart of the Ocean in a safe salvaged from the wreck, however, Brock uncovers a drawing of a young nude woman wearing that diamond. A 101-year old woman named Rose Calvert claims to be that woman, and to Brock and his crew recalls her past as socialite Rose DeWitt Bukater and her star-crossed love affair with a poor artist named Jack Dawson on the Unsinkable Titanic...
