In the movie posters, Freddy’s glove is actually on the wrong hand, that being his left, when it is always on his right. Robert Englund pointed this out himself in the DVD commentary, since the posters had already been sent out there was no way to fix this

Rob Zombie was offered to direct, but he turned it down to instead work on “House of 1000 Corpses”
