Finding a quiet nook to study and read
To the secret section in the library is where I meet a few friends of mine
We ponder and debate and suspect and appreciate
Our school and our rules, even if we get a little bruised
There’s never a dull moment in our lives and we live with no regrets
““There is no friend as loyal as a book.””
—
August Malmstöm - Dancing Fairies
Today we celebrate International Women’s Day. March 8 recognises all the women who have paved the way for today’s generation to have their voices heard. They have fought against sexism. Unfortunately there is still a long way to go as women are still facing sexism globally in the 21st century. Feminism is the belief in the equality of the sexes. The belief in social, economic and political equality of the sexes. Nobody no matter there gender should be made to feel lesser than anyone else. Happy International Women’s Day 2021! Let’s continue their courageous work.
Mood of the day
Walking through the halls in autumn. It’s our favourite time of year.
Death and the maiden by Ana Sanchez
“Out of fear we convert death into an abstraction, a thought we can entertain now and then or repress. But life is not a thought; it is a flesh-and-blood reality, something we feel from within… we need to experience it this way.”
The potions we take are coffee, wine and tea
Staying young and beautiful while dancing to Clair de Lune
A pocket watch to keep our minds ticking
Blazers in tartin, bottoms in plaid
Always a book in ones face or in ones satchel
We’re the tainted students with a dark past and future
So we may kill our darlings and speak in tongues
We may write in poetry and letters but it’s all because we belong to a different era
For we are the kids of dark academia
Factum fieri infectum non potest ~ It is impossible for a deed to be undone.
Please don’t die my friend, you are wanted you are needed. I’m not going to let go of your hand so please don’t let go of mine.
