this is the Brittany Ferries ad, I came across this ad on TV. The first time I saw it I was drawn to it because of the music. I then just fell in love with the story line. I love the the music and story line of this ad. I have nothing more to say but that I love this ad.
D&AD: XL RECORDS
This is the second brief for XL Records. If not obvious by the name they are a record label, who have signed so many huge artist such as Adele, Dizzy Rascal and many more.
In the brief XL said they have had many success with their artists but they wanted to recognise the company, the label behind all the success. They want the label to be as successful as their artist. They want people to come to the site, look at other artist signed by the label and introduce them to new acts on the rise.

YOUNG ONES: ORGANIC
This was one of the briefs we worked as a pair. We were given two briefs and from the two given my partner and myself chose to do the Organic brief.
ORGANIC
Organic is a fashion brand that makes their clothing only using 100% organic cotton. In the brief Organic wanted to use “attraction rather than promotion”. They know that their products are costly and they are going for a niche target market. They want to attract people using their USP; which is their organic clothing.
We decided to enhance on the fact that this brand is an organic brand and not just a few items of clothing in a line. we used the tag "Don't go for organic line, Go for organic brand". Here are the posters:
The individual persuasion assignment brief was to persuade members of the public to do something. I wanted to focus on making people happy and to persuade people to take an action in which they would leave happy at the end.
Londoners are known for being grumpy, unfriendly and I wanted to change that prospective people have over Londoners. So I went out to one of the most busiest locations in London Trafalgar Square. I then approached then holding a sign that said "have a nice day" and handed them a flower too.
I must say I was very sacred and was not sure how it will turn out. Looking at it now I am very happy with the results I got. I was very happy to see myself out of my comfort zone and to have still pushed myself to do things I don't feel very comfortable with.

Lost in Direction
I have been feeling a little lost lately and I felt like at this stage I should not feel in such away and just ignored those feelings.
A lot is going on, I am on my second year of university. That adds more pressure not to only do well but to also start planning for the future. What will I do once I finish university? Where will I work? Will I find a job?
Its all a little too much for me at the moment and I feel like if I concentrate on those feelings too much I will lose control over what I am doing know and what I have control over now, trying to control the future. I would not say I am a control freak, however I don't like not knowing whats to come. I like to prepare myself and make sure I am at my best ability for whatever is about to approach me. Right now I can tell you I am no where near it.
I guess I just have to do my best and wait for what the future brings, even if it means I won't be aware of whats to come. I only wish for whatever is to come to be GOOD :D

One of the tasks we are doing is individual persuasion. What I have to do for this task is to interact with members of the public and persuade them to do something. I wanted to base my task on making people happy, whatever I chose to do at the end of the task I want the people to walk away happy.
Inorder for this to happen, I needed to think of an activity that I would need to persuade people to do and at the end for them to walk away happy. I thought of what makes people happy. Since I live in London I also wanted to play around the idea of Londoners being grumpy and unhappy. I was still scared and anxious about my idea going the other way around and just fail.
However all of that aside I was able to pull something together. I put aside my public speaking fears and actually learnt quiet a bit today. I will be posting my final outcome very soon, once I edit the video. I can't wait and hope you will like it. Till then keep smiling :D

We Meet Again!
So its being a very long time since I have posted on here, I actually have no reason why I have not done that. I just feel like there was not much to write about. I am now on 2nd year and this year has just being very quiet. Not too much going on. I will talk about the different tasks and assignments on different posts. I guess this is it for now and I shall see you on the next post :D

CTS: Fashion Body Identity
I must say I have enjoyed my CTS lessons this term. The first term I am doing Fashion Body Identity. We are looking into the different changes in fashion and music. How fashion influences music and how music influences fashion.
For this task we were in a group of 4. I worked with 3 other amazing students. One was someone from advertising so I knew her already, another one from interior design and the 3rd I am not sure. That is only because we didn't get to spend as much time with the 3rd member. However the two girls were amazing and I am very happy to have worked with them.
We decided to base our presentation and essay on "The Collision of Rap and Rock". The similarity both cultures have in terms of their history and what they stand for. Also how different they are but how similar they are at the same time. We looked at the two cultures coming together and " the merge of two extremes".
What I liked about this whole experience is that I felt very passionate throughout. What made it enjoyable was that the people I worked with also had the same passion and every meeting we had there was never a dull moment.
I know just wish the next term CTS is going to be as good as this. We just have to wait and see I guess :D
As part of an exercise we were given to choose a body part of our choice and create a print ad on the chosen body part. This body part could be anything you want it to be and the print ad must be convincing on why people should want to purchase it. I have chosen my eyebrows and to be honest it is so hard to think about yourself and why people would want to purchase part of you.
So I have created to print ads based on my eyebrows, both ads are based on having the perfect shaped brows. the first one is called 'In Shape?' as in are your eyebrows in shape, looking good. The seconds one is called 'The Perfect Arc' are your eyebrows in the shape of a perfect arc, if not purchase mine. I hope you like them.
This week in CTS we spoke about consumer culture as well as modernism and post- modernism. in relation to this we looked at a film called True Stories. The film is about this guy who comes to visit a place in Texas, in which he observes the locals and the change happening around them. This is a clip from the film, where the guy who is visiting takes a look at the towns shopping centre. Also the two people laughing in the shop remind me of me and my friend and its something we would do. Hope you like it.
So for the last 2 or 3 days its being snowing and I must say this was the most unproductive weekend ever. I used the snow and the cold as an excuse to stay in bed for last 2 days. However I didn't want to miss the opportunity so I took some photos from my window. As much as I hated the snow must admit the land looked beautiful. Hope you like it :)
HELLO AGAIN!!!
OK so we are back and its 2nd term. Not the best of the start to the term. you know how it is, you been on holiday messed up sleeping patterns and can't wake up in the morning. However I managed to wake up and still get in to uni on time so hooooorrrrrrraaaaaayy! Can't wait to see everyone and hear how their holidays went. Here we go, wish me luck!
Lately I have been obsessed with everything black. The reason being, I actually have no idea. However as for the next term we have to launch ourselves and we have to come up with ideas on how, I thought this might be it. I am still not sure how I would be able to interpret it into a whole advertising agency but I want to give it a go. I mean it’s an idea that needs a lot of developing and may change it later on if I find it too difficult to adapt to or I feel colourful.
