Gakkı is a tiny yet cozy breakfast spot in Karakoy. They serve delicious omelettes and their "pişi" (fried lumps of dough, basically) is addictive.

My first Erasmus person

My first Erasmus came in September. He’s name is Esben. I thought as a foreign roommate would be useful to share household expenses as well as to practice the language. I’m inexperienced about that. When I live with Esben, I started to notice some details on İstanbul. So I try to blogging that could be the source for foreigners who come to vacation or live in Istanbul.

I chose my concerts in this list for this week. I recommend especially Bilal Karaman's concert. But Woodstock Kadıköy is a new venue for me.

If you want to know the new musical scene of Istanbul, here is the place that you need to go. The entrance is super discreet and small, but inside the surprise is very cozy.

In the first floor, a dancefloor where the DJs of the Turkish musical scene plays; in the second floor, a stage where the new bands play and in the top of the building, a terrace where you can chat calmly, drink your prefered Turkish beer, smoke. The prominence of the place is to join young generations of the city.

My friends and me call this bar as a "neighborhood coffee."

If you go to the coast for breakfast, you should buy a sandwich or something like that. The tea garden sale just tea, turkish coffee and beverages. for foods, you can check cheap&delicious. But you find a lot of fishmonger at Karaköy Coast.

A different face of Istanbul: Artwalk İstanbul

Since November 2012, Artwalk Istanbul has been organizing tours of contemporary art galleries with a professional “companion”. Artwalk Istanbul is the first project that transforms an already outstanding tour into a truly informing experience.

Artwalk Istanbul started in November 2012 during Contemporary Istanbul as a part of Art Istanbul. It has started to play an important role in the fast growing field of art events.
