listen i know i don’t post a lot about guard here but please, please, please just hear me out when i say this. Show your local color guard or winterguard support. Go to their shows, if you like them, tell them, show them that all the hours of blood, sweat and tears (take this literally because you have no idea what it’s like but I’m telling you) are worth it, and people enjoy what they are doing because that will make their day. It will keep them going and even if they don’t win, they’ll be okay, because someone likes what they are doing, and they have a reason to do it, even if it’s just one person. They put their heart and soul into performing a show that they love and that pleases people, so let them know that it’s not for nothing. Please. It’s such a beautiful art and all of it’s members are so unappreciated, so give them the recognition they deserve.

why don’t we have a bigger color guard/marching band community here on tumblr? like i see a lot of memes and confessions and some videos but that’s mostly it? is there more but i’m just missing it?

anyway, if anybody wants to help me build up the guard/band community here, hit me up and we can brainstorm some ideas! i’d love to make a place where all of us nerds can talk and share tips and experiences and whatnot
