You have to get to the point where your mood doesn’t shift based on the insignificant actions of someone else.

hoodies are one of the most powerful and underappreciated articles of clothing. cold? put on a hoodie. raining? put on a hoodie. no bra? put on a hoodie. nothing to wear? hoodie. cripplingly low self esteem? you already know. so versatile! so multifaceted!
Childhood is expecting problems to be solved in a single 22 minute episode. Adulthood is realizing that problems drag out over multiple episodes/hours/seasons and that many are never completely resolved (source)
I just wanna listen to really loud music and forget about everything
me every morning on my way to work
You are not screwed up. At least, no more so than anyone else. Even the people who appear the most put-together cry in the shower sometimes, or wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back to sleep, or yell at their significant other. That’s not what they post on Instagram, or talk about at parties, but it happens. We’re all in the same shit, just trying to get through each day. And we got this.
You got this!
It’s not stupid. I promise. It’s not stupid to turn into your 5 year old self and get happy beyond measure for the little things. It’s not stupid to be proud of yourself for completing a load of laundry and washing the dishes. You aren’t lame for patting yourself on the back when you chose a salad over a burger. You’re taking care of yourself and each victory - no matter how small - is worth celebrating.
I keep getting lost trying to find the old me, I can’t seem to bring them back. Its to late they’re already gone.
