Tfp Optimus swaps place with his Tfa counterpart after a bridge mishap, cue the tfa crew looking at their new, gigantic leader armed to the teeth leading them and tries his best on fitting with the crew. It wasn't long until one of the bots *coughBeecough* called him dad for being a protective father figure. The Decepticons are rather bothered and unnerved by the new gigantic Prime's appearance and his ability to neutralize them quicker than the previous prime.
TFP Optimus meets Sentinel for the first time and while he initially tried to act civil towards this other “Prime” but upon seeing how badly he treats his fellow autobots he has enough and declares his disappointment in him. “In my universe a Prime is supposed to be a beacon of hope, brave and merciful, someone who always thinks of others before themselves. You, however, display none of these traits with how you badmouth and mistreat your allies.” Sentinel tries to defend himself but Optimus manages to silence him with just a single disappointed glare, much to everyone’s surprise.
It’s not just Sentinel OP has problems with though. The more he learns about this universe’s version of the autobots the more he longs back to his own world. This version… while they might seem fair and just on the surface, the further you look the darker it becomes. Blackmail, illegal experimentation, torture and so much more. This is not the autobot cause Optimus is dedicating his life for. While he would like to stay and solve the problems, show them the right way, he knows that the corruption is deep-rooted and he’s got his own universe to take care of. All he can do is hope and pray that the alternative version of himself is gonna have the will to fix it.
