how do you make your art look so soft and painterly ? I love it sm ✨️

thank you!!! i use blending modes a lot, sometimes even blending the whole art on top of itself with blur or smudge effects!! using scratched paper textures and textured watercolor brushes also helps with the dreamy atmoshpere 🤲 oh and starting with an unsaturated blue base layer is my favorite thanks a lot for the question and i hope this helps!!
