Its me :)
Idk where I went sorry lol, but I'm starting to really get back into fonts but also just graphic design in general, so while this blog will still be focused on fonts, I may occasionally reblog some aesthetic things for inspiration. Thanks for sticking around!
Hi I too love fonts. Wanted to share this fun fact because I thought you might appreciate: my d&d character is named Lorem Ipsum
THATS SO FUN THANK YOU FOR SHARING 😂💚💚 I hope they have weapons and spells named after fonts too
Wow, this blog suddenly got a bunch of notes. Hi, new followers! :] I don't post here often but I do love fonts, so of you wanna talk about 'em, feel free to come bother me! 💚
Hi!!! I've been curious if you could identify this font? I've been obssessed with how striking it looks.
Thank you for the ask! Sorry you waited so long for a kinda nothing answer, but I ran it through a few font identifiers and unfortunately came back with nothing. It doesn't look like any font I've seen before, and in fact, if you look at the E's you can tell they have slight differences between them. That implies that the artist behind this may have drawn the letters instead of using a font! Therefore, it likely doesn't have an existing font tied to it at all.
Any input, @fontseeker ?
It's a font called Woodstamp (2008). It has a second set of uppercase instead of a lowercase, which is why the two E's are different. The letters on the cover have been squashed vertically from the original font.
Woodstamp also has interlocking ligatures. You can download it here.
I found this out by googling. I originally assumed it was hand-drawn for the same reason that italkaboutfonts did.
See this is why I love your blog

MONTY - Super Heavy Display Font by Sarah See
MONTY is a loud, unapologetic, modernist and structural new typeface. Every character fits into a perfectly square boundary - opening up countless possibilities for horizontal and vertical organisation. Glyphs can be stacked and grouped with a satisfying ease. Use Monty for those impactful headings that need to really shout about something, and demand attention!

YET ANOTHER COPPERPLATE SIGHTING
Choc (1955) is best known for its used on signs for Asian restaurants. There’s a New York Times article about it.
How did Choc, a quirky calligraphic typeface drawn by a French graphic designer in the 1950s, end up on storefronts everywhere?
Fonts In Use has more examples of Choc.

The word "TEES" in the second gif is in Newport (1932), a condensed Art Deco font in a style that was revived in the 1970s with fonts like Premier (1970) and Plaza (1975).
