well, it's time for armor!
i spent a long time studying what material would be suitable for it, because, honestly, this experience is the first time for me, even with basic knowledge it's something new for me.
for the first part - the cuirass, plastic was chosen, it bends well and allows you to keep the desired shape when heated, it is better to use a building hair dryer, but a regular one is also not bad, just need to hold it a little longer.
like all plastic, to paint it, you first need to polish it with sandpaper and then prime it. the primer sort of takes on the role of a layer for painting, which prevents the paint from peeling off.
but the primer is quite a task, because it really likes to form streaks, that is, puddles that dry up quickly.
from trying to learn and understand how to do it better, i used up the entire can, only to end up having to rip it all off and start over.
i upset? a little yes, but still now everything is going a little better and more understandable.
in fact, it hasn't reached the ground yet, because you need to secure the straps, give them their final shape, and only then prime them so that the primer doesn’t crack.
as for painting, i'm still thinking about it, but there's a chance that aerosol enamel would also work great to create a metallic effect.
there is still glue here, but this is because there is relief on the cuirass and I am thinking about how best to implement it without paint loss and general damage.
there's a lot of work in general, but I'm in the process!
