it's unbelievable for me how Keane is so underrated
their most popular song is Somewhere Only We Know which is an absolute banger but they have so so so many great songs
i wanna kiss Tim Rice-Oxley's brain for such lyrics, god i love Keane so much
As someone who hen they turned 18, started being the youngest person in each doctor's office, to having multiple doctors write you off while you just idle and wonder. To progress to something where you barely recognize yourself because of your sickness. To finally getting a diagnosis that was very rare, "more than an experiment, more than a diagram, make them remember me." remember me who you wrote off as anxiety and anorexia, remember me as a person not just "can we use your circumstance as a case study?"
I know this song is about another soul who suffered at the hands of hospitals and doctors. But for someone who was so ill, where doctors could not figure it out and write you off, to years of watching yourself deteriorate, only for you to be worth something when a diagnosis was found. Mr. John K Samson had a way of explaining the emotion without getting into it. This song, along with the rest of his discography is something special and got me through a rough time.

I gotta stop saying "It can't get worse" because God is taking that as a personal challenge.

some songs just remind you that Nothing haunts us like the things we don't say.
I am not saying those old timey doctors who sent women to the sea were right, but they were onto something for suresies.
Loneliness
No one prepares you for how for some your 20s are the most depressing years of your life. I have seen no one talk about how it's worse than your teen years. It is. I guess it gets better in time, but that's the hope. In times like this all we can do is play Landslide by Fleetwood Mac on repeat.
it’s the way doctor regenerating into David Tennant really is healing me right now
There’s nothing like some Sinatra to ease your way into some seasonal depression ✨

“what was your thought process” bro you assume I think in linear terms, like its not just a mess up there and this was just loudest thought that stuck out.
Russel T. Davies coming back and writing for Doctor Who and bringing back not only the iconic duo David Tennant and Catherine Tate, but casting other amazing actors, really be the thing keeping me hanging on right now. its like being hugged by an old friend
