Stephen Michell read a list that categorized all females into neatly organized boxes of girls vs. women… so he came up with a list of his own.

Aggressive guy won’t leave you alone? Give them this number (669) 221-6251
A new service is angling to help out women worried about how their rejection will be handled by overly-aggressive gentleman callers. It’s called the Feminist Phone Intervention, and it’s a brilliantly simple trick for socially active.
It works like this: The next time you give a man your number to get him to leave you alone, use this one: (669) 221-6251, courtesy of the folks over Feminist Intervention. When someone calls that number, they’ll reach a computer-recorded message of a bell hooks quotation — so you can “protect your privacy while dropping some feminist knowledge when your unwanted ‘suitor’ calls or texts,” the website explains. It works for texts, too.

Hard to read, but so WORTHY.
I want to see more fat Asians in media - for some reason, in white culture’s fetishization of East Asian women, it’s always a glorified notion of what being Asian should be: thin, complacent, cute, fashionable, large eyes, thin noticeable nose bridges etc. never do you see chubby cheeks, rolls,...
A film addressing the bullshit that is: masculinity
"There is a fundamental concern that the content of such magazines normalises the treatment of women as sexual objects. We are not killjoys or prudes who think that there should be no sexual information and media for young people. But are teenage boys and young men best prepared for fulfilling love and sex when they normalise views about women that are disturbingly close to those mirrored in the language of sexual offenders?" -Dr. Peter Hegarty

Excellent recap of the #NotBuyingIt Campaign.
Female celebrities and the “faint sexual flame.”
Sociologist Philip Slater:
“[I]t can’t be denied that the female ideal in America is nonaggressive and nonthreatening, to the point of caricature.
Take for example the film personality of the much-idolized Marilyn Monroe: docile, accommodating, brainless, defenseless, totally uncentered, incapable of taking up for herself or knowing what she wants or needs. …
The Marilyn Monroe image was the ideal sex object for the sexually crippled and anxious male: a bland erotic pudding that would never upset his delicate stomach.
…this Playboy ideal is a sign of low, rather than high, sexual energy. It suggests that the sexual flame is so faint and wavering that a whole person would overwhelm and extinguish it. Only a vapid, compliant ninny-fantasy can keep it alive. It’s designed for men who don’t really like sex but need it for tension-release – men whose libido is wrapped up in achievement or dreams of glory.”

Hot, but not too hot.
