I wonder if he's taken a liking to sleeping like that and would use that form regardless of where he is. Like he'd have a bed and be sleeping on it curled up as a fox.

Or if he just finds it more comfortable to sleep on the floor as a fox. Or if it's for warmth reasons.

Now all that’s left is the sky island.

I’m not sure whether or not we’ll actually see it in the manga or not, though. If this is just here as a nod to the Prisoners of the Sky movie then maybe not. I’m hoping we do get to go there later in the manga, it would be nice.
