✦ AR-T3M/1C (Artemis)

Alpha Primus of Magos Explorator Xalith's personal Skitarii squad. His older sister became a Tech-Priest at a very young age and left the family before even knowing Artemis was born. He grew up in the shadow of Pandora's fame, quickly rising through the ranks, and dreamed of standing alongside her. But alas, he lacked the talent. However, Artemis was excellent at following orders and was fit for combat. It took him years to achieve the rank he holds now, but he still hasn't given up hope of one day meeting Magos Pandora somewhere within the Koronus Expanse.

I translated the greeting in ASK into English. I'll try to translate the answers to questions just as accurately, but I can't promise anything.

P.S. Since I've been told this a few times, I have to explain. This is the first time I've drawn someone with non-European features. Moreover, I took a difficult angle of head. About AU

The hashtags say "pirates au" and not "mermaid au" because only the fairies are mermaids here. The rest of the setting is inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, but I'll get to that later.

So, the fairies mermaids live on the Coral Reef instead of the Fairy King's Forest. They're isolated from the outside world, although humans can breathe in the Reef's waters just as they can on the surface. The Fountain of Youth is replaced by a special pearl. And the Great Tree is replaced by the largest pink coral.

Helbram is a bit of an Ariel in this AU, because he collects junk and spies on people. But the whole thing came out of the idea of Helbram-siren, who sinks ships after that incident with the cut-off wings tails.

Of course, I put my OC into this AU. But I'll make a separate post about it so that those who aren't interested in OCes don't stumble over it.

— Noah, there you are! I've been looking everywhere for you.

Casca freezes in place, jumping out from behind the trees toward the small lake where Hawk Squad has stopped. Noah stands waist-deep in water, near the high bank, methodically pulling the bandages off his chest. HER chest, because without the support of the fabric, a very feminine fullness becomes visible.

— Wait... Are you a WO-

— Quiet! — Noah manages to jump up on the bank with one knee to cover her battle companion's mouth with her hand. — Don't yell like that!

Noah pushes her still-wet hair from her face and throws her head back. Casca watches HER silently, perched next to her on a piece of driftwood.

— You're the first, — Noah smirks slightly, looking down at her.

— What 'you're the first'?

— You're the first in the squad to know my little secret. How ironic that it's you, a woman.

— You speak as if you're not a woman yourself! Why hide it? You should have realized by now that we have no prejudices here.

— I'm scared, — Noah answers simply, her usually sharp, confident gaze taking on a sad look. — You know, I admire you, Casca. You're not afraid to be a woman, even though we're belittled, raped, and underestimated. You're not afraid to be a warrior woman, even though your body isn't built for it the way a man's is. You don't wear masks like I do; you're not afraid to be who you dream of being.

Noah's father so desperately wanted an heir that he raised his daughter as if she were his own son, dragging her along with him across the battlefield. She became accustomed to referring to herself in the masculine gender and wearing men's clothing, and learned to wield a sword. She was fortunate (or unlucky) in her genes and large frame, which made it easier for her to disguise herself as a man. Even after joining Griffith's squad, she continued her disguise, and only a few knew of her secret.

ANEMONE

✦ The flower most associated with lies is the anemone, also known as the "windflower." This plant derives its symbolic significance from the ancient Greek myth of the goddess Flora and Zephyr.
