You are Rex lapis’s daughter. No one knows about you except the adepti. When your father is busy dealing with matters in liyue he would leave you in the care of moon carver and cloud breaker. That was until you met Xiao the conqueror of demons. The big scary yaksha was your favorite adepti among the four.
The first time you met xiao was when you were 2 years old. Zhongli your father brought you with him to explore liyue. He took you to juyen karst to meet the adepti. You were hiding behind your fathers legs as you looked at the scary red moose.
“Its okay Y/n moon carver wont hurt you” zhongli said as he patted your head
You slowly revealed yourself and made your way to moon carver. You touched snout and instantly you felt yourself connect to everyone in liyue. You could hear people talking and see there future. Giggling you pulled away from moon carver.
“She has a powerful gift.” moon carver said to zhongli
You were busy chasing butterflies when you ran into xiao
“Oof” you fell down on your butt. As you looked up you saw xiao wearing his cat mask and instantly the only thing you could say about him was
“KITTY” you happily crawled up to xiao and hug him
“You little.. Iam not a cat” xiao said with an irk expression
“Kitty” you said and clinged to him
Zhongli chuckled at the scene that was happening.
“Come now Y/n i heard ferry lady made dumplings” he said as he walked up to you. But seeing as you wont let go of the yaksha zhongli will not be able to separate you too for a while
“B-but kitty” you said with a pout
“We will visit kitty when were done with dinner okay?” zhongli reasoned with you
“Okay” you let go of xiao and went with your father
“Bwye bwye kitty!” you said and waved holding onto your fathers hand as you both walked back to liyue harbor
“Papa?” you asked your father while you both were walking back home
“Yes Y/n” zhongli answered
“Can we keep him?” you looked up at your father with big eyes
You only use your big eyes at him when you really really want something
“y/n lapis may i remind you that he isnt a cat and he is human” he told you
“No….beside your too young to have a boyfriend” zhongli said
Zhongli shook his head trying to move one from the subject.
A few years later you were now 20 years old. You grew up into a beautiful young lady.you were like your father calm, reserved, and polite. You took over your fathers business and worked at the funeral parlor but of course there would be times where you would visit the adepti’s abode. Especially xiao throughout the years you grew closer to xiao. You still call him kitty and he keeps denying it but deep down xiao likes it when you call him kitty.
He feels a rush of emotions whenever your near him. His heartbeat speeds up and his face turns red.
“Kitty!” you said as you saw xiao on the balcony you ran up to him hugging him
“How many times do i have to tell you i’m not a kitty” he said
“Hey xiao can i tell you something” you said fiddling with your thumbs
“Whats wrong?” he asked you
“So umm i-i like this guy b-but i don’t know if he likes me” you said blushing
He was shocked to hear this. Why would you come to him for love advice
“Why are you asking me?” hes asked you
“Becauseilikeyou” you said really fast
“What?” he asked you not catching what you said
“I like you alot xiao” you said
He blushed a bright red he didn’t know what to say to you. He was happy at the same shocked.
He chuckled for the first time and said
giggling at the nickname that was supposed to be xiao’s you kissed his cheeks and hugged him tightly. you were happy to know that the kitty that you wanted to keep a long time ago was now really yours
“your dads gonna kill me,” xiao said
somewhere in liyue Zhongli sneezed as he was drinking tea.
“Someone was talking about me” he mumbles
