21st FS 'The Gamblers', Morris ANG Base, Tucson Arizona, 3/26

The 21st Fighter Squadron, nicknamed the "Gamblers," is a highly specialized U.S. Air Force unit stationed at Morris Air National Guard Base in Tucson, Arizona. They fly the advanced F-16 Fighting Falcon and are tasked with training Taiwanese (Republic of China Air Force) pilots.

Location: Morris ANGB, Tucson, Arizona (previously stationed at Luke AFB).

Aircraft Flown: F-16 Block 20 and F-16V.

Primary Mission: Fighter pilot and maintenance training for the Taiwanese Air Force.

On this day in 1960, the @USAirForce donated this German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 to the Smithsonian. The aircraft was brought to the U.S. by the USAAF Air Materiel Command for testing after World War II: s.si.edu/467SyZV
