Re-Watching Z Nation

Just watched the first half of Season 5, Lt. Dante's death is DEVASTATING, he put so much trust in George and was basically doing ANYTHINzfG for her. Hd says it himself: He laid his life for her more than once, he trust HER more than all of mand kind.

Don't get me started on when George finds him, he's so evidently dying but not dead, but when his head looks to her, a ghost of a smile is there before she has to mercy him. I CRIED.

Re-Watching Z Nation

So I'm rewatching Z Nation (Tubi my beloved 🫶), and I've specifically been analyzing Lucy and Warren, because after the 2 year jump in Zona, they are very close and I find it so "Mother-Daughter relationship" of them.

After Warren and Murphy come back, Lucy is on full angst mode, she doesn't connect with Murphy because of his absence and the lack of "mental connection" from before, this is different from Warren. She gravitates to Warren very easily, instantly seeing that she can sense her (because of now sharing some blood) and telling her about losing Addy.

I love that Warren tries to comfort her when Lucy seems very worried because she can't find Addy, UGHHHH LOVE EM.

For the next few episodes it's like this, Lucy can feel and see Warren's nightmares, Lucy depends on Warren a lot, when they're trapped in the crates, she doesn't really acknowledge Murphy more than telling him to shut up, but with Warren she's instantly looking for her, looking for her comfort and reassurance that someone else can feel what she's feeling.

And when Murphy is bitten and starts convulsing and stuff, she seems legitimately scared, she looks and yells to Warren to figure out what to do (even if Warren is having a vision and can't hear her really)

Later Lucy and feel Warren's emotions, feel her distress, and eventually when Murphy is saved with her bite, Warren can feel either one of two thing: Murphy's pain that Lucy is dying, or Lucy dying, could even be both.

I cried myself when Warren kissed Lucy's head when she saw she'd died, how she tried to comfort Murphy, and even the days after, both her and Murphy seem devastated, Warren trying to keep strong and still fighting her visions, and Murphy shutting down.

This show is devastating, LOVED IT, I cry myself to sleep with it.
