This man took so much longer to crack than I would have what a PROFESSIONAL
Plotting, scheming, etc.
I am weeping 😂🤣😂🤣
Chaos baby
fucking hate it when the stuff everybody says "actually works" does actually work.
hate exercising and realizing i've let go of a lot of anxiety and anger because i've overturned my fight-or-flight response.
hate eating right and eating enough and eating 3 times a day and realizing i'm less anxious and i have more energy
hate journaling in my stupid notebook with my stupid bic ballpoint and realizing that i've actually started healing about something once i'm able to externalize it
hate forgiving myself hate complimenting myself more often hate treating myself with kindness hate taking a gratitude inventory hate having patience hate talking to myself gently
hate turning my little face up to the sun and taking deep breaths and looking at nature and grounding myself and realizing that i feel less burdened and more hopeful, more actually-here, that i am able to see the good sides of myself more clearly, that i am able to see not only how far i have to grow - but also how much growth i have already done & how much of my life i truly fill with light and laughter and love
horrible horrible horrible. hate it but i'm gonna do it tho
Oh my god though, the journaling part. I’ve got a lot of built up anxiety and panic and after a week of writing it all out, I feel so de-fogged and like the world makes sense again
My 13 year old cousin came back from a date with her boyfriend and said, "I can't wait to grow up and spend sunday afternoons with him." At first, I wanted to laugh (after all they're just 13), but I remember being 13 and having the world in my hands. I remember getting excited to talk to someone about my dreams and wishes, and how happy these daydreams and fantasies made me. There's this innocence you can only have at 13 and the world rises and falls and crashes and burns every year... until you do not think about quiet sunday afternoons.
So I asked her about the date and heard her giggle about bubblegum flavored ice cream, and how much she loves this little life. I think she makes me love it too.

Old-time Tarot Meanings My Elders Taught Me
To traditional fortunetellers, these are but normal interpretations. Yet they are often alien to modern readers and sources.
The Star is a bad card.
It says, “No, this is nothing but wishful thinking.” It represents endless hoping, with nothing ever happening.
The Nine of Wands is victory.
This man never grew complacent after his past triumph. Such vigilance will ensure he also wins the next battle.
The Ten of Wands is abundance.
That man is not burdened. He is carrying his harvest home. It is heavy, but he is happy.
The Three of Pentacles is achievement.
A stone mason from a humble background has managed to earn the respect of both Church and State. Impressive.
The Four of Pentacles is the ideal man.
He treats his other half as his treasure. Holding her close, he is protective of and affectionate towards her.
The Five of Pentacles is true love.
The leper and the beggar are true to their marriage vows: “To have and to hold, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, till death do us part.”
The Five of Cups predicts death.
When preceded by the Ten of Swords, the Five of Cups means someone dear to the querent will pass away soon.
The Queen of Swords is a spinster.
All the other kings and queens are couples. But this queen is the King of Swords’ older unmarried sister.
The Lovers is sanctioned by the gods.
This person is the partner the heavens created for you. While the Two of Cups is a partner you choose.
The Tower predicts an inheritance.
When preceded by Death, The Tower means someone will die and leave you an inheritance… or another shocking event will happen and bring you abundance.
Tarot Notes #01 <3
A compilation of tarot notes based on my experience and observations as a tarot reader.
🍬 The question you are asking is the most important part of a tarot reading. That's why you should only ask one question at a time for clear and precise answers. If you ask more than one question at a time, you'll have a harder time interpreting the cards because you don't immediately know which card answers which question.
🍬 You don't actually have to verbally ask a question to your deck, they already know what question you're thinking about. They're telepathic.
🍬 Tarot decks are good at adapting to your needs. Eg; if you tell them you'll only read them intuitively based on their imagery then they'll give you cards based on the imagery regardless of how much the imagery doesn't correspond to the traditional meaning of the cards.
🍬 A common mistake readers make is using too many jumper cards in their reading. What I mean is this; you're shuffling your deck and then BAM a bunch of cards fall out (more than 3), then you take all of them and use them in your reading. This is just my recommendation; do not do that. It will only confuse you because when this happens, it's usually a case of bad shuffling and the cards you get won't give you proper clarity on the question you asked. If 3 or more jumper cards comes out all at once, I recommend putting them back in the deck and continue shuffling.
🍬 Tarot de Marseilles and Thoth Tarot are very different from the Traditional Rider Waite Smith Tarot (RWS), in terms of imagery and meaning. Thus, you're not supposed to mix them together like interpreting Thoth Tarot using RWS card meanings.
🍬 Pip cards are minor arcana cards that only have symbols on them. Eg; Four of Wands (if a pip card) would literally only have four wands as the imagery of the deck.
🍬 There are tons of ways to do yes/no readings with tarot. The one I use is cards with positive meanings = yes while cards with negative meanings = no, I only pull one card unless I need more clarification. Some other people use upright as yes and reversals as no.
🍬 I believe the most effective way to do timing readings is to only use minor arcana (excluding court cards) and classify the suits into specific time. Eg; wands = days, swords = weeks, cups = months, pentacles = years.
🍬 For predicting career; wands = creative careers, swords = careers involving intellect, law or technology, cups = health and care, pentacles = finance and business. Of course, you have to take the card meaning into account as well, not just the suit.
🍬 You can predict astrology placements by using major arcana and their astrological correspondence.
🍬 The Chariot to me always has the theme of overcoming challenges and transportation.
🍬 The Moon will always have something to do with intuition and emotions to me.
🍬 People be afraid of the "negative" cards such as Death, Tower, Ten of Swords, The Wheel of Fortune, Devil, etc. while I am afraid of the Emperor reversed which can give the theme of abuse.
🍬 To me, the Wheel of Fortune gives a more "life is full of ups and downs" as opposed to what some people interpret it as, which is "everything is going to shit".
🍬 The Devil coming out during a personality reading doesn't necessarily mean that the person is toxic, obsessive or addicted to something. It could also mean that the person feels restricted from being themselves or doing things that they want to do. Eg; closeted LGBT+ person in a judgemental society.
🍬 Aromantics would read the Lovers and Two of Cups differently than others, preferring to get rid of the romantic theme of the cards' meaning. Which reminds me:
🍬 The Lovers doesn't necessarily have to mean a romantic relationship.
🍬 And a lot of people prefer to use Two of Cups as romantic relationship than the Lovers.
🍬 Five of Cups can also mean that someone is being pessimistic and refuse to acknowledge the positive side of things. Instead, they wallow in their self pity.
🍬 The Queen of Swords to me is someone who doesn't care about what people think of her.
🍬 To me, Six of Swords is not gonna be a smooth journey. It's gonna be a difficult or at least rocky one.
🍬 Seven of Swords can also mean being calculated and hiding your true self from people or the public. It's a card for celebrities. It doesn't necessarily mean they're a bad person inside though. This card can also mean being a lone wolf.
🍬 Four of Pentacles always reminds me of being possessive/protective especially of one's finances.
🍬 Five of Pentacles can also mean not asking for help even when you need it.
🍬 The nines of every suit is like "almost there but not yet".
🍬 The oldest surviving tarot deck pattern is Tarot de Marseilles.
🍬 A lot of people don't vibe well with the Original Rider Waite Smith Tarot Deck.
🍬 The harshest tarot decks (according to my observation) are the Wonderland Tarot and Shadowscapes Tarot.
🍬 The Nightmare Before Christmas tarot deck is apparently very good with communicating with spirits.
🍬 The Wild Unknown decks apparently give dark and mysterious vibes (not negative, think Scorpio vibes).
🍬 Tarot of the Divine is really sassy.
🍬 Tarot de la Nuit has a rather pessimistic look on things but is amazing at understanding people. It also gives big sis vibes.
🍬 Traditional Manga Tarot is very money minded. I mostly get pentacles cards when I use the deck.
🍬 Cute tarot decks usually give cute, soft, friendly and cheerful attitude.
🍬 Fanmade tarot decks are way better in terms of art and quality compared to official tarot decks like Disney Villains Tarot.
🍬 When you interview any romance-themed tarot deck and you ask "What type of readings are you best suited for?", they won't answer romance/love readings.
Nobody asked for this but I wanted to make it anyway. Hope you enjoyed! And remember to eat your meals and stay safe 💖 If you'd like to make your own "tarot notes", go ahead! I'd love to read them UwU

How to Do the Major Arcana Grand Tableau
This spread uses all the Major Arcana to give you an overview of your whole year ahead. It is best performed on your birthday or on New Year’s Eve.
STEP 1: Lay out the Major Arcana in order.
Line 1: The Fool to The Lovers Line 2: The Chariot to The Hanged Man Line 3: Death to The Star Line 4: The Moon to The World
STEP 2: Shuffle the Minor Arcana.
As you do this, ask your higher power to show you a glimpse of your destiny for the upcoming year.
STEP 3: Draw a Minor for each Major.
One by one, take 21 cards from the top of the deck and place them over the Major Arcana, starting with The Fool. Then take the card at the bottom of the deck, and place it over The World.
STEP 4: Read the Minor against the Major.
The Major Arcana represent the important aspects of your life. The Minor Arcana reveal what will take place within these aspects.
The Fool – What will begin in your life?
The Magician – What dream will manifest?
The High Priestess – What secret will be uncovered?
The Empress – What will you harvest?
The Emperor – What will you have control over?
The Hierophant – What will remain unchanged?
The Lovers – How will your love life be?
The Chariot – What will make you victorious?
Strength – Where will you find strength?
The Hermit – What will you need to reflect on?
Wheel of Fortune – Where will you find luck?
Justice – Who will avenge you?
The Hanged Man – What will you have to sacrifice?
Death – What will be reborn?
Temperance – What will bring balance into your life?
The Devil – What will you be most passionate about?
The Tower – What will trigger a profound change?
The Star – Where will you find hope?
The Moon – What will stay clouded?
The Sun – What will bring you joy?
Judgement – Which of your oppressors will be punished?
The World – What will give you a sense of accomplishment?
Sample Interpretation:
The Four of Pentacles on The Lovers – “Your romantic partner will be very protective of you, maybe even to the point of being possessive.”
The Ace of Wands on The Hanged Man – “You will need to sacrifice a part of your career or pause a project you are passionate about.”
The Ten of Cups on The Devil – “You will be focusing all your attention and energy on starting or expanding your family.”
If we tie it all together, we arrive at: “You will get pregnant this year, prompting you to leave your stressful though fulfilling job, so you could focus instead on ensuring you have optimal health to carry the baby to term. During your pregnancy, your spouse will be taking care of you even more than before.”
STEP 5: Identify the court cards.
The Kings, Queens and Knights are the people who will play a vital role in your life, positively or otherwise.
King of Wands – Leo (Fixed Fire)
Queen of Wands – Aries (Cardinal Fire)
Knight of Wands – Sagittarius (Mutable Fire)
King of Cups – Scorpio (Fixed Water)
Queen of Cups – Cancer (Cardinal Water)
Knight of Cups – Pisces (Mutable Water)
King of Swords – Aquarius (Fixed Air)
Queen of Swords – Libra (Cardinal Air)
Knight of Swords – Gemini (Mutable Air)
King of Pentacles – Taurus (Fixed Earth)
Queen of Pentacles – Capricorn (Cardinal Earth)
Knight of Pentacles – Virgo (Mutable Earth)
Sample Interpretation:
There are two couples here — the King and Queen of Wands and the King and Queen of Pentacles: “You and your other half will be highly supportive of each other. You could be a Taurus and they could be an Aries, or vice versa. Either way, you will strongly feel the love and passion in your relationship.”
STEP 6: Notice the dominant suit.
Wands – Passion will overflow.
Cups – Emotions run the show.
Swords – The battle is in your mind.
Pentacles – Finances will be bright.
Sample Interpretation:
There are nine Wands and nine Pentacles each: “Your year will definitely not be lacking in passion and stability — materially and emotionally.”
STEP 7: Note the numbers that appear at least thrice.
Aces – A year of beginnings
Twos – A year of dilemmas
Threes – A year of affairs
Fours – A year of stability
Fives – A year of changes
Sixes – A year of harmony
Sevens – A year of challenges
Eights – A year of labor
Nines – A year of completion
Tens – A year of harvest
Sample Interpretation:
No number appeared more than twice. There is no discernible theme, numerology-wise.
STEP 8: Observe the ruling colors.
Black – Loneliness, regret, obstacles, purging
Red, Yellow, Orange – Passion, love, happiness, power
Blue, White, Green – Spirituality, logic, innocence, intuition
Sample Interpretation:
Red, yellow and orange are the ruling colors: “Your year will be filled with a passionate love that will bring you joy and a strong sense of control over your life.”
STEP 9: Record your grand tableau.
Take a photograph of your spread, and write down your interpretations of it.
STEP 10: Review your grand tableau.
At the end of each quarter, note which predictions have come true. By the end of the year, compare your interpretations to how the spread manifested. Doing so allows you to reflect on your past year, and improves your divination skills.

THE EMPRESS

Did you know you don't have to use the entire tarot deck for every reading?
It's fairly well known that you can read tarot by taking out the major arcana cards and only using those 22 cards for a spread.
However, you can divide the deck up in all sorts of ways. This is called reading with a restricted deck. Usually, you will separate the deck out into suits and only choose which suits are relevant to the question at hand.
Everyone has their own meaning for what the suits indicate, these are mine and they are fairly common :) (see more about using suits to read in this other post!)
Pentacles reveal income and money, home life, all domestic issues, family, and platonic relationships.
Cups reveal emotions, romantic relationships, subjective experiences, and personal need.
Swords reveal mindset, objectivity, professional relationships, pain, and difficult or professional (“it’s just business”) choices.
Wands reveal passions, desires, boundaries, sexual relationships, burdens, and choices borne out of inner need.
So for example, if you are reading a question about the future of someone's romantic relationship when they move in with their partner, you can choose to take out all of the Pentacles and Cups and only use those 2 suits for the reading!
Or if you want to identify a person (identity/role/behavior), you can take all the court cards out of the deck and only draw one of them.
You can split the deck and read a special 5-card spread, where you draw 1 card from each pile (the four suits + major arcana) for each card position for an overview of the person's life in that moment.
Reading with a restricted deck is a really great way to learn and practice, since you can just focus on a certain suit and get to know it as a unit. It is really interesting to see a shift in readings when moving from suit to suit :)
