“James Potter and Sirius Black are lovers. It’s so obvious that Lily is just a cover.”
Delusions || Sirius & Tilden
Sirius seemed reluctant to continue down their current vein of conversation. Tilden didn’t push it; he was hoping to cheer Sirius up, after all, not drive him to annoyance. “Alright,” he said, conceding with a nod.
He scratched his ear absent-mindedly, conflicted over whether he ought to search for a new topic of conversation or leave Sirius to his troubled thoughts. As much easier as the latter would be for him, it didn’t feel like the sort of thing a friend ought to do. It would be best to at least part ways on a happier note, wouldn’t it?
“How’ve you been, anyway?” he asked. “How’s work?” His brow creased in a frown as he searched his memory for what it was that Sirius did for a living. “You do something with, uh, with motorcycles, yeah?” He held his hands out in front of him as if holding invisible handlebars, revving an imaginary engine.
Sirius witnessed the thought passing over Tilden’s soft eyes as he considered the things that Sirius told him, his off-hand and distracting commentary in hopes of putting an end to the conversation.
“Work’s great,” he replied enthusiastically, glad for the subject change. “Workin’ in this motorbike shop down in London and I’ve been allowed to craft my own bikes, really. Jus’ takin’ old parts and magicking them. Want to make my own line but the legalities of it is tricky since it crosses over the misuse of Muggle artifacts and all. But a few tweaks here and there and I’ve done some cool stuff.”
His demeanor was far more relaxed than moments prior; speaking of serious ideas made him uncomfortable and defensive.
“How ‘bout you, mate?”
James & Sirius || The M Word
“It’s extremely bloody different!” James said, utterly aghast. “Girls’ll be lookin at my boy because he’ll be my boy an, I mean, c’mon, birds’d have ta be barmy not to look. But boys lookin at my girl… oh no! I can’t have ‘at. I can’t. It’s just not gonna-”
He broke off at Sirius’s last words and his eyes widened… then slowly softened. He shifted slightly, a faint blush actually gracing his tanned cheeks before he slid his glasses a bit higher on his nose and said, “I ah… well… thanks Pads.” He grinned a little, “They will be bloody fantastic won’t they?”
“Prongs, I reckon you ought to take a relaxation potion, mate. You’re over here worried about your hypothetical future child when they grow up and become a teen. We’re teens still, mate, technically speaking. You realize that Lily’s not even pregnant yet... Unless-- hell, you hiding something from me, mate?” Sirius asked, eyes bulging in sudden concern. What if Lily was pregnant? That would certainly be life changing news and Sirius wasn’t sure he was ready.
“It won’t be easy. Reckon all the parents I know complain about how exhausted they are at one point or another, but I s’pose it’ll be worth it, y’know? You will make a good father. Me? I’ll be its cool uncle that they aspire to be just like. Whaddya think’ve that?”
Regulus & Sirius || Padfoot & Quidditch
“Oh, right. Well, if there have been studies, who am I to call cats not-evil?” He tried and for the most part managed to look serious about this, only half smiling when he flicked a glance over to Sirius. “Were those the exact words of the scientists, then?” His tone was that of an innocently curious question, his smile the only betrayal of his sarcasm.
Regulus snorted, nudging his brother back just for the hell of it. “I’m not entirely opposed to the idea. But someone would probably notice at some point if I just never returned to the castle.” He grinned.
“How sweet.” Regulus’ wide smile faded slightly as he hummed quietly in assent, nodding. “It was less him being terrifying and more the him turning into you without warning. That was the frightening part. Also annoying. I honestly don’t know why I entertained any other idea of what, or who, Padfoot was. In retrospect it all seems very you.”
His smile turned softer, less amused and more fond. “If only. Hiding in your pocket for the rest of my life wouldn’t be too bad a fate.” Sirius moved away and Regulus stayed a step into the forest as Sirius crossed over it’s edge. The farewell startled a laugh from him though, and Regulus nodded. “Yeah. After all, we need to fit in human licking sometime.” The laugh dropped from his voice then. “Thank you. You know, for coming.”
END?
“Precisely. You are genius. You are related to me and all, but you certainly are nothing in the way of studies that call cats out for what they are. And what they are is a bunch’ve assholes,” Sirius replied firmly, a grin tugging on his lips. “Yes, of course. Scientists said precisely that. Cats are dicks.”
Sirius shrugged, prodding his brother’s ribs.
“Suit yourself, then.”
He rolled his eyes but managed a laugh. “Don’t you dare speak so ill of Padfoot. He will bite if I ask him to. And trust me, that dog does everything that I say,” he replied. “And you might not be so lucky that I’ll actually agree to lick you as a human ever again if you’re not careful ‘bout what you say about Pads.”
Sirius pecked his brother against the corner of his lips quickly and pulled back.
“I didn’t come. Not yet. But I sure as fuck will next time I see you,” he said softly, an edge and a promise to his voice before he hurried off, heading to work.
END.
Come Over || Sirius & Regulus
Regulus had known breaking their silence would mean inevitable pain, but he couldn’t stand it. He couldn’t wait on that precipice, his certainty of what was to come evidenced by the knot in his stomach, he couldn’t stand there and pretend everything was okay. But as much as he was ready for screaming, the hand that came shooting out to shove him roughly caught him off guard, and Reg was knocked back into the wall behind him. He rightened himself, hands fisting in his pockets, staring at his brother and waiting for him to explode.
Ah. It hurt just as much as he had expected it would, and Regulus didn’t let himself dwell on the fact that it maybe hurt a little bit more than that. He felt his heart sink, his jaw clench, and tried to ignore his indigence at some of the accusations. It didn’t work. “I’m ruining everything?” Where Sirius was loud and emotional, Regulus’ voice dipped to cold and quiet. “I’m just trying to salvage what I can from what you left behind. I made a fucking mistake, I know, but I was sixteen. I was angry and scared and alone, and now I’m stuck. I can’t just fucking walk away.”
He let out a heavy breath, his heart feeling far too heavy, beating too fast, and the coldness dropped from his voice as he dragged his hands through his hair, eyes locked on his brother’s. “Don’t stand for it all you want, but there’s no other bloody option. This isn’t the first time I could’ve been killed, and I have backed myself into corners and had to kill people. I think I fucking know how not okay it is.” Regulus’ hands dropped, and he leaned heavily against the wall behind him. “You know, when you first started talking to me again all I wanted to do was run in the other direction. Not because of Mum or Dad or anything, but because I knew this would happen. I shouldn’t be doing this to you.”
“Of course you can fucking walk away-” Sirius bit in return, speaking over Regulus’s defense. It drove him mad- this constantly push and pull between them and the fact that his brother couldn’t make up his damned mind. Sirius should have known. The moment he heard verification that his brother was branded with the Dark Mark he should have pushed him away like he fucking deserved.
Silver eyes darkened as his brother spewed excuses and Sirius’s rage shaded pale features dark red. Body jittery and fingers twitching, he couldn’t keep up with the quickness of breath struggling to pierce his lungs, barely making it through a constricted throat.
Yet, that fucking voice, that fucking way his brother spoke with soft words and a saddened gaze, Sirius swore he might collapse and give in without a fight.
“You should have run. You fucking should have. Because I can’t do this, Regulus. It’s not fair. You know what side I’m on and there’s no way in the deepest depths of hell that I would betray my friends; the friends that were there when mum and dad were too busy trying to preserve the precious family name and you went along with their every insane idea. And I have to say, I dunno if you are worth that fight.”
Lies, he spewed lies. Regulus was worth fighting with anyone. Hell, he’d face Voldemort one on one if he thought it meant he could save his brother from himself; but a part of Sirius knew it was too little too late for any of that.
He couldn’t look at Regulus, his throat closing and fists balled at his side. Swallowing back a lump, Sirius deflated like a balloon as he fell back, sinking into his couch, head falling into his own lap as his body folded in half and he visibly shook.
Delusions || Sirius & Tilden
“Oh, oh no,” stuttered Tilden, properly flustered now. “I didn’t mean to say…” He tried to read Sirius’ expression, hoping to determine whether he was being teased or not. It was difficult to tell though. He tried for a disarming smile. “I didn’t mean anything by it.”
He’d nodded along to Sirius’ explanation with the vaguely uncomfortable air of someone to whom terms like ‘spontaneous theory I contrived’ was not an everyday occurrence. “Worth a try at least, eh?” he said. “I’m sure they’d hear you out. They’re your mates, after all! That’s what friends are for!”
“You are too sensitive, mate. I’m only teasing,” Sirius replied, a smile crinkling up the corners of his eyes.
A shrug jolted his body and Sirius’s eyes squinted towards the other male.
“Yeah. I don’t know,” he said softly. It wasn’t that he believed his mates would disregard him entirely; he just wasn’t sure if he ought to share everything with them. Things had been so weird lately and he felt abnormally distant from the lot of them. He didn’t like it.
Delusions || Sirius & Tilden
At Sirius’ reply, Tilden realized what a mother hen he must sound like, Sirius thinking he was so concerned about his recreational herbs and potions. Feeling rather silly, he shook his head quickly. “Oh, uh, no! I mean, that’s goo– well, maybe not good, but… er…”
Way to make yourself seem less ridiculous, me.
He let out a breath that was half sigh, half laugh and tried to explain himself. “I mostly meant, have you talked to the others about what you’re thinking. About the Minister and all that.” He shrugged. “They might be more help with it all than I am.”
Or they might be better at talking sense into their friend. He still wasn’t really sure what to make of Sirius’ suspicions, whether they held water or were simply delusional.
“Me thinking the Minister still has the potential to be alive and me smoking Mary Jane are absolutely not related,” Sirius replied, quirking his brows, wondering what Tilden was insinuating or if this entire thing was just a big error in communication.
“But no, I’ve not told them that. I dunno. Just sort’ve a spontaneous theory I contrived,” he admitted, shrugging. “Not sure they’d hear me out, anyway...”
Come Over || Sirius & Regulus
Regulus had knocked, stepped backwards, and had only just begun musing over the benefits of the idea of running when he heard a voice from his periphery. He’d identified it by the second syllable, but as anxious as he was there was no way he could’ve prevented his near jump, head turning too fast to the origin of the words. He found his brother advancing towards him, late (which he should’ve expected), and visibly smeared with oil and grease. He had to be just returning from work now, and Regulus figured it was for the best that he hadn’t arrived at six to lurk and think. Thirty five minutes of waiting would almost definitely have resulted in him running, making up some pleasant lie for himself about having to be somewhere. As it was the thought had begun to grow tempting.
“Oh.” The noise came out unbidden, hardly an intelligent response, and Regulus took another quick step back to give his brother room to open the door. He’d become very painfully aware of himself all of a sudden. What to do with his hands? Where to stand? But for all his discomfort, Reg was careful to hide his indecisiveness and anxiety away, meticulously putting on a face as if nothing was wrong. The facade was bound to shatter within minutes, but he could pretend he held a bit of control for at least a little while longer.
Sirius wasn’t looking him in the eye, and Reg couldn’t blame him, but that didn’t stop him from watching his brother intently as he went to the door and unlocked it with a whisper. They were both being so bloody quiet.
Then his brother was crossing the threshold, and Regulus followed, carefully keeping a fair amount of distance between he and Sirius. The fidgeting of his hands was unavoidable now, one leaving his pocket to drag through his hair (messing it up, but what did it matter), then falling to his side, moving towards the pocket, and falling back again. But he kept his expression carefully blank as he stared at his brother’s back. It seemed it was up to him to say something. The only issue was that he had literally no idea what to say. “Hello.”
The silence far from bothered Sirius. He wasn’t looking forward to shouting, to inevitably arguing with his brother, and silence certainly beat that contempt he felt; but he knew this was merely a fallacy. Soon that would change. Soon, he’d be unable to hold back the mounting frustration growing inside of him.
Like clockwork, Sirius’s blood pressure skyrocketed as the door closed back into its hinges and his brother muttered a greeting. Their eyes met at last, a complex cataclysm of mixed feelings churning in his gut as they gazed at one another for several long seconds. It settled and enraged his senses all at once and Sirius acted before he could think.
A firm hand rose to shove Regulus’s shoulder roughly, eyes darkening threateningly. It was his absolute adoration and loyalty towards his brother that brought them here in this very moment despite the irritation, the desire to yell at his brother to protect him, somehow fucking protect him from the choices he’d made, overcame his entire being.
“What the fuck were you thinking?” he managed to choke out, unable to hide his frustration and his hurt. “You--- could’ve been killed and you could-- could have fucking backed yourself into a corner where you would have had to kill someone else. Someone that matters to me. How can you do this? You’re-- gods, Regulus. This isn’t okay. How do you stand for those people? For that cause? You’re ruining everything. I can’t fucking-- stand you like this. I won’t stand for it.”
Delusions || Sirius & Tilden
“Potion or– oh!” said Tilden, realization dawning somewhat belatedly. He huffed a laugh that was rather on the nervous side, unsure whether the casual mention of drugs was something that should be greeted with amusement or not. But Sirius seemed to cheer up a little as he mentioned it, so there was that at least.
He waved aside the offer in any case. “I’m, uh, I’m good. Thank you, though.”
A little worried about Sirius’ coping mechanisms, but not really thinking that he was one to judge, Tilden reflected on what to say. “Have you talked to your other mates at all about this?” he asked, not sure himself if he meant Sirius’ notion about the Minister faking his death or his feelings of hopelessness. “James or Remus or Peter?” The four Gryffindors had been inseparable in school and were all in the Order together. Surely Sirius’ best mates would know how to make him feel better.
Sirius’s brows knit together, wondering if his mate was merely just innocent or if he was judging Sirius for his vices. Regardless, an amused smirk twisted against his lips.
“Alright, Tilden. But you know where to find me if you change your mind, eh?”
There existed a distinct concern in Tilden’s gaze, his questions reaffirming the others thoughts on the matter. Sirius’s lips twisted into a frown and he shook his head.
“Mate. They encourage this sort’ve debauchery if anything,” he exaggerated. Of course, all four Marauders drank excessively and smoked weed on occasion, but they didn’t necessarily know of the extent in which Sirius partook in his illicit pastimes. What did it matter, though?
My Body Is A Cage || Remus & Sirius || April 12th
The werewolf let out a low growl as it was knocked aside, falling heavily to the broken floorboards as the dog tried to distract him from his disturbing feast. For a moment, as the wolf turned it’s head to meet the dog’s, it’s eyes shining eerily bright, mostly beast but something also undeniably human lying beneath the destruction.·
Just as soon as it had appeared, however, that light faded as the wolf struggled to stand, favoring one side over the other as thick droplets of blood painted the floor red. The dog had challenged him. Baring white teeth, Moony scraped his claws threateningly against the old floorboards, moving forwards slowly and sizing up the other dog like a challenge.·
Beneath it all, Remus was stirring, lingering just beneath the madness where the lines had begun to blur.
The wolf’s eyes narrowed as the dog’s growl softened, unable to see the other animal’s desperation to help him past his own desperation to hunt. For a moment, the wolf leaned in to the soft nudge of a nose, although the large beast froze as soon as the dog turned to his fresh wound. Flinching, the wolf turned it’s head towards the dog, snapping threateningly with wild jaws as it stalked away, eyes glimmering with the last remaining energy of the falling moon. He moved as though filled with electricity, a tug deep within his abdomen signaling that the change was here.·
Furious, the wolf bit down into it’s flank once again, letting out a sound partway between a growling bark and a cry. After a beat, this movement changed, and the monster pulled away, shaking his head wildly as though to shake an unwelcome thought from his head. His legs had begun to shake now, nails digging deeper into the floor to remain still as the werewolf began to desperately tear into his side again.
The wolf collapsed after a tremorous shake, a loud crack resonating through the room as the change began once more. The sharp outline of bones in the back of the wolf appeared to dance in the black night, the wolf letting out a noise through bared teeth that quickly faded into a whimper. It always seemed to go on for too long, this second transformation, the seconds ticking by gruelingly slow.
A pale hand finally gripped at the rough edge of a broken floorboard, knuckles white with the effort of the motion. Remus’ back was arched, chest heaving with the effort of breathing through new lungs as he came to grips with consciousness once more. He bit down with human teeth into the fragile skin on his bottom lip to stop himself from crying out as his muscles finally finished shifting, his scarred body visibly shaking from the effort. There was a thick haze clouding his mind, but beneath it all Remus was acutely aware of the dog in the room.
Sirius.·Mind still stuck somewhere between wolf and boy, Remus looked up with wide, darkened eyes, unaware of the blood that stained his lips. Of course, he would curse that later, but right now, the wizard had little interest in that.
A dark nightmare of snapping teeth nipping at black fur stood out in the front of his mind, and Remus’ heart was tight and heavy as his eyes finally shifted, dark hues returning to a soft and gentle green at last.
“Sir-” Remus whispered, the words cutting off as a choking cough took over, spattering his arm with bright red droplets. The movement pulled at the open wound at his side and the werewolf curled in on himself like a broken doll, shaking his head in a manner not unlike the wolf just minutes ago. Raised his eyes again, he tried to start once more, his voice heavy with fear as he imagined the worse, this part of the boy so different from the careless beast that had stood here just minutes ago. “-Did I?” He struggled to find the right words. “Are you okay?”
He couldn’t do this anymore. Sirius had no energy remaining, no more will to fight, no more power to keep facing the beast that felt more relentless than ever- likely a direct result of Sirius’s stubborn insistence on going this alone, on joining Remus in the full moon when the other two were otherwise occupied.
It was just when these thoughts collided with his conscious mind that Moony retreated, worn out and in pain, sending Padfoot a threatening growl as he stalked away to tend to himself. Padfood took a seat and watched, eyes wide and beady. He didn’t want to overstep boundaries, to push the wolf when the wolf clearly didn’t want anything to do with him. If Moony hurt him, Sirius knew that Remus wasn’t likely to forgive himself despite it being entirely out of his control. As much as he wanted to help, he had to use his brain and tread lightly.
The glow of the moon dimmed as the rising sun flooded through the window of opposing windows. Murky and dusty glass allowed dim, golden light to filter through in vibrant streaks and Remus’s body ceased up, fur standing on edge before pulling back, seemingly sinking into his body. A violent cracking of bones and Remus contorted, half-man, half-beast. Sirius wasted not a second before he, too, changed into his human form in the blink of an eye.
Pale, marred skin glowed against the yellow hue of sunlight shining on his broken body and Sirius knelt beside him instantly.
“Shush,” he hissed. “You didn’t hurt me. Moony might’ve taken a scratch or two out’ve Pads, but it wasn’t you. I’m fine. Are you? He was more intent on tearing you apart.” Sirius’s eyes scanned over his friend’s body, wondering how badly the wounds would transfer from Moony’s body to Remus’s. Pale-silver eyes met Remus’s, his hand absently traveling along Remus’s bare side where a gash oozed red, his own long fingers trailing through the sticky substance. He reached automatically for his wand, quickly doing his best to siphon off the mess.
“Shit, Moons. Come here.”
Sirius’s arm wrapped around Remus’s torso, hoisting him up to lead him to a nearby, dusty couch. It wasn’t ideal, but it was the best they could do in the moment. Silently, he did his best to clean the wounds. He summoned his trousers, reaching into his pocket to uncork a vial of dittany, pouring it over the wound.
“Best we got for now,” he said quietly. “You alright? I mean. Shit, Remus-- what should I do? What can I do?”
Delusions || Sirius & Tilden
Tilden sighed a sombre laugh of agreement at Sirius’ comment. “No kidding. Not for a long time now.”
Worried that would seem insensitive, he hurriedly added, “I’m not… I’m not trying to be funny or anything! You’re right, things have been awful.” He shook his head. He didn’t think that he was doing much to help Sirius’ mood. All he seemed to have managed was to talk him down from enthusiastic to morose, and that didn’t really seem to be a good thing.
“If there’s anything I can do to help…” he said uncertainly, wondering if he would be better to simply excuse himself and take his leave. But he wasn’t sure whether Sirius was in need of someone to talk to or if he’d rather be alone. He was a difficult bloke to read.
“Don’t sweat it, Tilden,” Sirius replied softly.
Sirius could see the worry in Tilden’s eyes and he felt a heavy guilt settling in the pit of his stomach. He hadn’t intended to make his mate upset or worried. He hated that he did this, hated that his emotions were a roller coaster of unpredictability lately.
“It’s fine, really. I think all I need is a particularly potent potion or-- herb,” Sirius replied, doing his best to keep his voice jovial. “I’ll be just fine. If you want anything to help you, too, let me know. Sometimes it’s all you need to feel better, honestly.”
Come Over || Sirius & Regulus
I need to talk to you. Regulus wondered if getting cryptic and anxiety producing notes from his brother would’ve been better or worse were he not so horribly aware of what he had to lose. Maybe better. The nervous knot in his stomach probably wouldn’t be nearly so hard to ignore. But if he and Sirius hadn’t reached some sort of truce a while ago, would Reg even have replied? Stupid question, of course he would’ve. Sirius was very hard to ignore, and still harder to actively deny. Especially now, still experiencing something akin to culture shock in the transition from viewing the war from the sanctuary of Hogwarts to being out in the thick of it, well, Regulus didn’t think he had enough strength of will to pass up any time spent with his brother. No matter how painful and depressing it promised to be. The point, though, lay with the fact that had he and his brother not interacted meaningfully since they’d parted years ago, they wouldn’t have interacted meaningfully since they’d parted years ago. If the price he had to pay for being happy with Sirius for a while was an inevitably heart crushing conflict, Regulus supposed he’d always known it was borrowed time. And that borrowed time had been incredibly well spent. He just hoped that he could bargain for more of it.
It wasn’t until he noticed the lingering look and raised eyebrow of a somewhat confused passerby that he realized he should probably knock. Reg had been standing outside his brother’s door staring at it intently as if it held a script through which he could avoid argument with Sirius for perhaps a bit too long. But knocking would… ah, fuck it. Regulus knocked, and then seemed to want to retract the action, thrusting his hands into his pockets and taking a half step back from the door.
Now to wait for his brother to let him in. He had maybe around a minute to run away. But he’d have to talk to his brother eventually. Better to get it over with. Truer words were never spoken. He hoped, at least.
“No, thanks. That’ll be it.”
Sirius’s rather gruff and, admittedly, attractive co-worker assured he was all-set with the remaining workload for the night. It was already five past the time his brother was supposed to show up to meet him and Merlin knew if Regulus was good for anything, it was that he was always on time.
“Thanks, Gil. See ya tomorrow,” Sirius commented, quickly saluting the bloke who was elbow-deep in fixing a shiny, black motorcycle that had been dropped off earlier that day. Gil merely nodded and Sirius wiped his hands on a bandana tucked in his back pocket before he slipped out of the door, face welcoming the heat of the summer-sun against his skin. Withdrawing his concealed wand, Sirius ducked into a nearby alley and disapparated without further thought.
He landed moments later outside of the building where he shared a flat with Remus who was supposed to be out. If he wasn’t, well, Regulus would have been greeted by him by now and Sirius supposed he would have to deal with that.
Black-booted feet ascended the stairs to the second floor where he was surprised to see Regulus standing wide-eyed, facing the door with clear anxiety written over every inch of his body. Sirius knew that his brother would conceal it the moment he noticed him so he said nothing, watching as Regulus raised his fist and knocked against the wood of his door.
“Ain’t no one in there,” Sirius called as he finally advanced, reaching his brother in just a few long strides. He didn’t look him in the eye as he reached his side, afraid that he’d be unable to hold himself back until they were inside. Sirius’s grease-covered hand reached for the doorknob and twisted the gold brass with a soft whisper, charming it to unlock. He slipped inside, waited for his brother to do the same, and then shut the door, locking it with his back to Regulus, completely silent.
Regulus, come over. Tonight. I'll be alone. I need to talk to you. -S
Okay. Do you have a time in mind?
As you’ve said. Is that okay though? Or do you want me to come later? Just tell me what to do. Please.
That’s fine. Better to get it over with.
Regulus, come over. Tonight. I'll be alone. I need to talk to you. -S
Okay. Do you have a time in mind?
Mind being covered in oil and grease.
Well, I will be if you’re coming right at 6:30. -S
Delusions || Sirius & Tilden
Sirius was quiet for a long moment, looking uncomfortable and sad. Tilden almost missed the strange manic energy of moments before. Sirius might not have been making a whole lot of sense, but at least it had been better than this hopelessness.
“Don’t say stuff like that,” he said, trying for a smile, which wavered uncertainly and faded quickly. “If you can’t survive this, what hope do the rest of us have, eh?” He wanted it to sound lighthearted, but his own voice rang in his ears as just a little too desperate. “You’ll be fine!”
Of all the people he could picture himself trying to comfort, Sirius Black would never have jumped to mind. The war really was taking its toll on all of them.
“Thanks.” Sirius’s eyes were distant now, his mind settling down, spiraling too far below the high he’d been experiencing that prompted him to say such absurdities in the first place. He felt weird and he didn’t like it. “Thanks for the faith in me, Toots.”
A deep sigh escaped his lips and Sirius’s gaze returned to the other male, a forced smile twitching up his lips.
“I’m sorry, Tilden. Things just haven’t been right lately.”
Regulus, come over. Tonight. I'll be alone. I need to talk to you. -S
Okay. Do you have a time in mind?
Yeah, fine. I’ll be covered in grease and oil, though. -S
I don’t mind if you don’t.
If I don’t what, Regulus?
